A prospective cohort study to compare full repairing and partial repairing of soft tissue surrounding the hip joint in anteriorolateral approaching arthroplasty concerning hip function. Patients admitted with a femoral neck fracture operated with a hip arthroplasty through an anteriorolateral approach were screened for inclusion. Patients with altered mental status SPMSQ <7, pathological fractures, non-walkers were excluded.

Twenty-five patients with mandibular angle fracture were subjected to reduction and fixation through intra-oral open reduction and semi-rigid min plate fixation near the superior border of the mandible at Champy's osteosynthesis line. The linear inter-fragmentary gap was measured at the inferior border of the mandible after fixation of the fractured bony segments in the final aligned position immediately postoperative on a panoramic radiograph for the mesio-distal plane and a cone beam computed tomography for the bucco-lingual plane to assess any lingual splay. The healing process was clinically followed for 3 months postoperatively for any complications and/or patient complains

Anterior plate osteosynthesis of fractures of the lower extremity of the radius may be accompanied by tendinous complications : tenosynovitis of extensors or even tendon ruptures caused by the end of the epiphyseai screws. The intraoperative measurements as well as the realization of the scopic pictures make it possible to estimate the length of the screws but the tendinous lesions remain frequent (5 to 15% according to the various series)

Dual-Energy/Multi-Energy/Spectral-CT can visualize bone marrow edema associated with fractures, however, current scientific evidence is mostly derived from to retrospective analyses. Our prospective study systematically analyzes the diagnostic accuracy of the visualization of bone marrow edema by including patients who are scheduled for a CT scan to exclude or further characterize a fracture. After giving informed consent, the CT scan will be performed using a dose-neutral Dual-Energy-/Multi-Energy-/Spectral-CT acquisition technique. If the patient undergoes MRI of the same region within 7 days, this scan will be used as a gold-standard for bone marrow edema. This will allow the quantification of diagnostic accuracy.

Usually, cervical spine fractures are not considered as osteoporotic fractures. However, recent studies show that odontoid fractures are the most common fractures of the cervical spine in elderly and may occur in a context of low trauma energy. Thus, the goal of this observationnal study is : to describe the different type of odontoid fracture and to characterize bone status in elderly patient (>65 y) who underwent odontoid fracture in a context of low trauma energy. The aim of this study is to present a novel Intramedullary Nail (IMN) made of CFR - PEED composite, that is biomechanically tailored to closely match cortical bone. This IMN should promote fracture healing and prevent stress shielding osteopenia. Case records of patients with humurus shaft fracture will be retrospectively reviewed to determine whether the implant promotes bone healing.

occult hip fractures present to the emergency room with a history of trauma,a painful hip and normal X-ray. these patients usually undergo other imaging modalities such as CT scans, MRI, or bone scans. In this study we check the sensitivity and specificity of a directed ultrasound examination of the hip joint in diagnosing or excluding a hip fracture. We also compare the results of ultrasound examination by the orthopedic surgeon in the emergency room versus the consultant radiologist. The patients undergo bone scans or CT to make the diagnosis.
