The purpose of this study is to gain real world, live implant experience with the remote implant support system. This system is intended to provide the technical support for device implants from a remote location through telepresence (audio and video) and remote control. Specifically, the goals of this study are to corroborate bench testing, assess the performance of the system, gain understanding of the workflows, customer experience, and logistics. The intent of the remote support model is to provide the same support that would typically be provided by a local support person, only remotely. As such, the remote support person would only perform actions that a local support person would routinely do under the direction of a physician. This may involve observing patient data, providing technical support and advice, and performing testing and device reprogramming via remote control of the programmer.

Hydroxyzine Dihydrochloride Premedication is a Necessity for Strabismus Surgery

Oculocardiac reflex (OCR) is usually happening in pediatric strabismus surgery and observed just when the surgent pulls the ocular muscles. The reflex is one of the trigemino-vagal reflexes, and causes bradycardia, arrhythmia, and even cardiac arrest during eye surgery. Premedication for relaxation with drugs like hydroxyzine dihydrochloride or midazolam before surgery of the pediatric population is often used in Turkey, although it is not recommended in foreign countries. Some recent studies showed that when midazolam and hydroxyzine dihydrochloride used together not only, they lessen agitation before surgery but also they prevent emergence agitation. The primary aim of this prospective observational study is to show the effect of hydroxyzine dihydrochloride on preventing the pediatric patient from Oculocardiac reflex related to strabismus surgery.

ANI Parasympathetic Monitoring in Neurosurgery

Bradycardia

Surgery of large cerebellopontine angle (CPA) tumors (>2 x 2 cm diameter), with compression of the pons exposes the patient to inadvertent parasympathetic nerve stimulation (IPNS) leading to bradycardia and asystole. The analgesia nociception index (ANI) monitor assesses the balance between analgesia and nociception through the detection of parasympathetic tone. ANI >80 generally denotes excessive analgesia (EA). The main objective of this study was to determine whether ANI values for IPNS are different or the same as ANI values for EA. This study also aims at calculating the number of patients with IPNS and EA during surgery of large CPA tumours.

Intermittent episodes of hypoxemia and/or bradycardia, also defined as cardio-respiratory events (CRE) are very frequent in preterm infants and may result in transient hypoxia and hypoperfusion of target organs, with possible clinical implications. The hemodynamic instability that characterizes the first 72 hours of life, also called as transitional period, place preterm infants at high risk of complications and may contribute to enhance fluctuations in end-organ perfusion and oxygenation induced by CRE. In this study we aimed to explore cardiovascular and cerebrovascular changes determined by different CRE types in preterm infants during the transitional period.

BRADYCARE: Advanced Bradycardia Device Feature Utilization and Clinical Outcomes

Pacemaker

Pacemaker technology is constantly evolving. In the past 10 years, numerous advancements have been made in pacemaker therapy, diagnostics and connectivity. These advancements include automated capture, automated sensing, patient alert functions, algorithms minimizing ventricular pacing, automatic mode switching in response to atrial tachyarrhythmia, rate responsive pacing, advanced diagnostic features, remote monitoring and radiofrequency (RF) technology. However, little information is available on how these new features are being utilized by physicians in the real world and how these features impact patient outcomes. This observational study will gather data on the patients' presenting clinical status, indication for device implantation, utilization of advanced device features, device therapy choices, clinical management and outcomes in a general pacemaker population. The primary aim of the study is to evaluate the usage of advanced features and diagnostics in patients with St. Jude Medical pacemakers. The secondary aim of the study is to learn more about the progressive clinical outcomes in the general pacemaker patient population. The tertiary aim of the study is to evaluate the correlation between the usage of advanced features in pacemaker patients and the patient's clinical outcomes.

The study is a non-randomized, active prospective observational study permitting to report the behavior of Micra AV pacemaker during an exercise. Only patients who were previously implanted with a Micra MC1AVR01 can be enrolled in the study. Exercise test is part of the standard clinical care practice for this patients population during the first year follow-up.

This observational study was designed to prove clinical efficacy of the well known "glycopyrrolate" which is considered an orphan drug in Thailand. Since the medication has never been officially used in Thai people and this particular brand "Glyco-P" which was made in India has never been officially proven of its efficacy in Thai people. The study was aimed to prove if this Glyco-P can modestly increase patient's heart rate, decrease secretion and safely used in combination with neostigmine for reversal of non-depo muscle relaxant drugs.
