OPPOSITE: Outcome Prediction Of Systemic Treatment in Esophagogastric Carcinoma
Gastric NeoplasmGastroesophageal Junction Adenocarcinoma3 morePatients with locally advanced, resectable gastric or esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma will receive a biopsy of the primary tumor, followed by standard-of care neoadjuvant systemic treatment; after neoadjuvant therapy tumor biopsies will be taken from different sites of the resection specimen. Aim 1: Organoid cultures of pre-treatment tumor biopsies will be established and exposed to the same chemotherapy as the corresponding patient; in vitro response to treatment will be correlated with the in vivo response of patients. Aim 2: Whole genome, methylome and RNA sequencing of tumors biopsies and organoids will be performed prior to as well as after systemic treatment. Histological and clinical outcome will be correlated with molecular subtypes.
Detection of CTC and ctDNA in the Diagnosis of Metastasis in Gastric Cancer
Stomach NeoplasmsMetastasisTo investigate the value of CTCs and ctDNA in the diagnosis of metastasis in ascites/peritoneal flushing fluid and blood; To investigate the influence of laparoscopic CO2 pneumoperitoneum establishment on peritoneal and hematogenous metastasis of advanced gastric cancer; To explore the influence of the number and type of CTCs and ctDNA on metastasis and prognosis.
Detection of Plasma Circulating Tumor DNA in Gastric Cancer
Circulating Tumor DNA (ctDNA)Gastric CancerThe aim of this study is to develop a protocol for detection of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in plasma of patients with early stages of gastric cancer.
Monitoring Minimal Residual Disease in Gastric Cancer by Liquid Biopsy Study Description
Gastric CancerctDNAThis study aims to evaluate the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) to detect circulating tumor DNA in gastric cancer patients after gastrectomy
Early Detection of Five Common Cancers Using the ctDNA Analysing Test
CancerLung9 moreThis is a multi-centre, prospective cohort study, aiming to evaluate a blood test in early detection of the four common cancers, based on the investigation of the circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA). Primary objective: To evaluate the performance characteristics of the blood ctDNA test in early detecting cancers. Secondary objectives: To evaluate the performance characteristics of the test in determining the origin of tumour, as compared to the findings of the imaging diagnostic tests. To determine the risk of cancers development in the high-risk population, as compared to that in the moderate-risk group.
AssesSment of Early-deteCtion basEd oN liquiD Biopsy in GASTRIC Cancer, ASCEND-Gastric
CancerASCEND-Gastric is a prospective, multi-omics, observational study aimed at detecting gastric cancer by combined assays for serum protein markers, deep sequencing of cell-free DNA (cfDNA), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) mutation and circulating RNA. The study will enroll 498 participants, including 128 patients with benign gastric diseases and 370 patients with gastric cancer.
Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Registry
NeoplasmStomach6 moreThis is a patient registry for all cases of pre-neoplastic or early neoplastic digestive tract lesions treated with curative intention by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) technique.
Effects of H. Pylori Eradication on the Gastric Preneoplastic Lesion and Neoplasm After ESD
Helicobacter Pylori InfectionEarly Gastric Cancer1 moreThis study evaluates whether Helicobacter pylori eradication improves precancerous lesions including glandular atrophy and intestinal metaplasia as well as metachronous cancers or dysplasias after endoscopic mucosal resection for gastric cancer.
Clinical Study on Nutrition Intervention in Patients With Esophageal and Gastric Cancer Treated...
Nutrition Aspect of CancerPatients with esophageal cancer and gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy were selected as research objects to conduct nutritional risk screening, malnutrition assessment and quality of life assessment. They were randomized into the nutrition counseling group (NC) and the nutrition support therapy group (NST). To evaluate the nutrition and life quality of patients with esophageal cancer and gastric cancer before and after chemotherapy, and to study the effects of nutritional support therapy on nutrition and life quality.
Feasibility of Auricular Acupressure for Appetite and Weight in Patients With Stage II-IV Gastric,...
Clinical Stage II Esophageal Adenocarcinoma AJCC v8Clinical Stage II Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma AJCC v810 moreThis clinical trial evaluates the feasibility and acceptability of acupressure to the ear (auricular) to address appetite and weight in patients with stage II-IV gastric, esophageal, or pancreatic cancer. Cancer anorexia, the abnormal loss of appetite, directly leads to cancer-associated weight loss (cachexia) through malnourishment, reduced caloric intake, treatment side-effects, and other modifiable risk factors. Cachexia prolongs length of hospital stay for patients, negatively impacts treatment tolerance and adherence, and reduces overall patient quality of life. Auricular acupressure is a form of micro-acupuncture that exerts its effect by stimulating the central nervous system using adhesive taped pellets applied to specific locations on the external ear. The use of these pellets to deliver auricular acupressure has been shown to improve pain, fatigue, insomnia, nausea and vomiting, depression, and quality of life in both cancer and non-cancer settings. Auricular acupressure is a safe, inexpensive, and non-invasive approach to addressing cancer-related symptoms and treatment side-effects and may be effective at improving appetite and weight loss in stage II-IV gastric, esophageal, and pancreatic cancer patients.
