Phase 1/2 Study of S-1 and Cisplatin in Advanced Gastric Cancer
Gastric CancerThe purpose of the phase 1 portion of the study is to determine the safe dose of S-1 and cisplatin that can be administered in gastric cancer patients. The purpose of the phase 2 portion of the study is to determine the antitumor activity of the S-1 and cisplatin regimen established from phase 1 in patients with advanced gastric cancer.
Interleukin-12 in Treating Patients With Cancer in the Abdomen
Anal CancerColorectal Cancer3 moreRATIONALE: Interleukin-12 may kill tumor cells by stimulating a person's white blood cells to kill cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of interleukin-12 in treating patients with cancer in the abdomen.
Cisplatin and Irinotecan in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Esophageal or...
Esophageal CancerGastric CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating patients with locally advanced or metastatic esophageal or gastric cancer.
A Study of 5-FUci Versus CPT-11 Plus CDDP Versus S-1 Alone in Advanced Gastric Cancer
Gastric CancerTo investigate the superiority of a combination of irinotecan and cisplatin and the non-inferiority of S-1 compared to continuous infusion of 5-FU in advanced gastric cancer
Vaccine Therapy in Treating Patients With Advanced or Metastatic Cancer
Breast CancerColorectal Cancer7 moreRATIONALE: Vaccines made from a person's white blood cells that have been treated in the laboratory may make the body build an immune response to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of vaccine therapy in treating patients who have advanced or metastatic cancer.
Radiation Therapy and Paclitaxel, Carboplatin, and Fluorouracil Followed by Esophagectomy in Treating...
Esophageal CancerGastric CancerRATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, carboplatin, and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Giving radiation therapy with chemotherapy and giving them before surgery may shrink the tumor so that it can be removed during surgery. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving radiation therapy together with combination chemotherapy followed by esophagectomy works in treating patients with locally advanced cancer of the esophagus or gastroesophageal junction.
Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Stage III Ovarian Epithelial Cancer or Gastrointestinal...
Colorectal CancerGastric Cancer5 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug and giving them by intraperitoneal infusion may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of intraperitoneal combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have stage III ovarian epithelial cancer or gastrointestinal cancer.
Interleukin-12 and Trastuzumab in Treating Patients With Cancer That Has High Levels of HER2/Neu...
Advanced Adult Primary Liver CancerAnaplastic Thyroid Cancer125 moreInterleukin-12 may kill tumor cells by stopping blood flow to the tumor and by stimulating a person's white blood cells to kill cancer cells. Monoclonal antibodies such as trastuzumab can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of interleukin-12 and trastuzumab in treating patients who have cancer that has high levels of HER2/neu and has not responded to previous therapy
Combination Chemotherapy Followed by Surgery in Treating Patients With Stomach Cancer
Gastric CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug and combining chemotherapy with surgery may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well irinotecan and cisplatin followed by surgery, floxuridine, and cisplatin work in treating patients with stomach cancer.
Oxaliplatin Combined With Fluorouracil and Leucovorin in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Metastatic...
Esophageal CancerGastric CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining oxaliplatin with fluorouracil and leucovorin in treating patients who have recurrent or metastatic cancer of the esophagus or stomach.
