The purpose of this study is to compare the rate of recurrence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among HIV-positive women receiving cryotherapy versus LEEP over 2 years of follow-up and to compare the shedding of HIV-1 from the cervix between HIV-positive women receiving cryotherapy versus LEEP over 3 weeks of follow-up.

This randomized pilot clinical trial studied whether the Oncotype DX gene expression "Recurrence Score" (RS) would be useful for helping make a decision about which type of pre-operative treatment, hormone therapy or chemotherapy would be a better for patients with hormone responsive cancers that were not suitable for breast conserving surgery. The RS is currently used to predict the risk of distant recurrence and the benefit of the addition of chemotherapy to hormonal therapy in the adjuvant setting.

Assess the safety, feasibility, and patient tolerability of circumferential radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to the anal canal for patients with anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN). Patients will have AIN with high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and the RFA will be applied using the Barrx™ Ablation System.

This phase II clinical trial studies how well omega-3 fatty acid works in treating patients with stage I-III breast cancer. Studying samples of tissue and blood in the laboratory from breast cancer patients receiving omega-3 fatty acid may help doctors learn more about the effects of omega-3 fatty acid on tumor cells.

This trial will study the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy with aminolaevulinic acid for the treatment of patients with HPV+ low grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (LSIL;CIN1).

This study will test the efficacy and safety of different routes of administration of a DNA vaccine in patients with HPV16+ CIN2/3. Subjects will be enrolled in one of six treatment groups. Subjects enrolled in the first two groups will receive vaccination intradermally with a needle-free delivery device. Subjects enrolled in groups 3 and 4 will receive vaccination intramuscularly. Subjects enrolled in groups 5 and 6 will receive vaccine intralesionally.

RATIONALE: Broccoli sprout extract supplements may slow the growth of tumor cells or abnormal cells and may be an effective treatment for ductal carcinoma in situ and/or atypical ductal hyperplasia. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how well broccoli sprout extract works in treating women with a diagnosis of breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ and/or atypical ductal hyperplasia.

RATIONALE: Estrogen can cause the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using tamoxifen or letrozole may fight breast cancer by blocking the use of estrogen by the tumor cells or by lowering the amount of estrogen the body makes. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well tamoxifen or letrozole work in treating women with ductal carcinoma in situ.

RATIONALE: Collecting samples of blood and tissue from patients with cancer to study in the laboratory may help doctors learn how fluvastatin effects biomarkers related to breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how fluvastatin effects biomarkers in women undergoing surgery for ductal carcinoma in situ or stage I breast cancer.

RATIONALE: Radiofrequency ablation uses a high-frequency, electric current to kill tumor cells. Giving radiofrequency ablation before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well radiofrequency ablation followed by surgery works in treating patients with early invasive breast cancer or ductal carcinoma in situ.
