Nivolumab With or Without Ipilimumab or Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Previously Untreated...

Stage I Lung Non-Small Cell Cancer AJCC v7Stage IA Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma AJCC v75 more

This phase II trial studies how well nivolumab works when given alone and in combination with ipilimumab or chemotherapy in treating patients with previously untreated stage I-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the tumor, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, docetaxel, and pemetrexed, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving nivolumab with ipilimumab or chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer compared to chemotherapy alone.

S1602: Different Strains of BCG With or Without Vaccine in High Grade Non- Muscle Invasive Bladder...

Stage 0 Bladder Urothelial CarcinomaStage 0is Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma1 more

This randomized phase III trial studies Tokyo-172 strain bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) solution with or without a vaccination using Tokyo-172 strain BCG to see how well it works compared with TICE BCG solution in treating patients with bladder cancer that has not spread to muscle. BCG is a non-infectious bacteria that when instilled into the bladder may stimulate the immune system to fight bladder cancer. Giving different versions of BCG with vaccine therapy may prevent bladder cancer from returning.

Axitinib With or Without Anti-OX40 Antibody PF-04518600 in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney...

Clear Cell Renal Cell CarcinomaMetastatic Renal Cell Cancer2 more

This randomized phase II trial studies how well axitinib with or without anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600 work in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Biological therapies, such as anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600, use substances made from living organisms that may may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Axitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving axitinib with or without anti-OX40 antibody PF-04518600 may work better in treating patients with kidney cancer.

Pembrolizumab Combined With Cetuximab for Treatment of Recurrent/Metastatic Head & Neck Squamous...

HNSCCLip SCC10 more

This is a prospective, multi-center, open-label, non-randomized, multi-arm phase II trial to evaluate the efficacy of combination therapy with pembrolizumab and cetuximab for patients with recurrent/metastatic HNSCC. There will be four patient cohorts, including a PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor-naïve, cetuximab-naïve arm (Cohort 1), a PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor-refractory, cetuximab-naïve arm (Cohort 2), a PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor-refractory, cetuximab-refractory arm (Cohort 3), and a cutaneous HNSCC arm (Cohort 4). A total of 83 patients (33 in Cohort 1, 25 in Cohort 2, 15 in Cohort 3, and 10 in Cohort 4) will be eligible to enroll. Patients will be enrolled at 4 sites: UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, UC Los Angeles Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, and University of Washington Siteman Cancer Center.

Study of REGN 2810 Compared to Platinum-Based Chemotherapies in Participants With Metastatic Non-Small...

Carcinoma,Non-Small-Cell LungLung Carcinomas3 more

The primary objectives of the study are: To compare the overall survival (OS) of cemiplimab versus standard-of-care platinum-based chemotherapies in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors express PD-L1 in ≥50% of tumor cells To compare the progression-free survival (PFS) of cemiplimab versus standard-of-care platinum-based chemotherapies in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic NSCLC whose tumors express PD-L1 in ≥50% of tumor cells The key secondary objective of the study is to compare the objective response rate (ORR) of cemiplimab versus platinum-based chemotherapies

P53MVA and Pembrolizumab in Treating Patients With Recurrent Ovarian, Primary Peritoneal, or Fallopian...

Recurrent Platinum-Resistant Fallopian Tube CarcinomaRecurrent Platinum-Resistant Ovarian Carcinoma1 more

This phase II trial studies how well modified vaccinia virus ankara vaccine expressing p53 (p53MVA) and pembrolizumab work in treating patients with ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer that has come back (recurrent). Vaccines made from a gene-modified virus may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving p53MVA and pembrolizumab together may work better in treating patients with ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer.

Nivolumab in Patients With Type B3 Thymoma and Thymic Carcinoma (NIVOTHYM)

Thymoma Type B3Thymic Carcinoma

The aim of the phase II Nivothym study is to collect data on activity and toxicity of nivolumab therapy in patients with thymic carcinoma or type B3 thymoma that previously received a first platinum-based chemotherapy.

Atezolizumab With Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Anaplastic or Poorly Differentiated Thyroid...

Metastatic Thyroid Gland CarcinomaPoorly Differentiated Thyroid Gland Carcinoma5 more

This phase II trial studies how well atezolizumab in combination with chemotherapy works in treating patients with anaplastic or poorly differentiated thyroid cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Vemurafenib and cobimetinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Drugs such as nab-paclitaxel and paclitaxel work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This trial is being done to see if atezolizumab in combination with chemotherapy works better in treating patients with anaplastic or poorly differentiated thyroid cancer compared to standard treatments.

Gemcitabine Hydrochloride and Cisplatin With or Without Nab-Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With...

Stage III Distal Bile Duct Cancer AJCC v8Stage III Gallbladder Cancer AJCC v815 more

This phase III trial studies how well gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin given with or without nab-paclitaxel work in treating patients with newly diagnosed biliary tract cancers that have spread to other places in the body. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not known if giving gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin with or without nab-paclitaxel may work better at treating biliary tract cancers.
