High Dose Vitamin A Compound in Treating Participants With Resectable Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer...

Non Small Cell Lung CancerStage I Lung Cancer4 more

This trial studies how well high dose vitamin A compound works in treating participants with non-small cell lung cancer that can be removed by surgery. Vitamin A compound may increase the number of germinal centers (immune centers that make antibodies mature) in tumor and lymph tissues which may be beneficial to patients with cancer.

Harms of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Surveillance

CarcinomaHepatocellular

This study leverage a multi-center randomized controlled trial assessing screening-related benefits (i.e. early tumor detection, treatment eligibility, and overall survival) among a racially and socioeconomically diverse population of patients with cirrhosis. However, the randomized controlled trial was not budgeted to assess hepatocellular carcinoma screening-related harms. The goal of this study is to quantify physical, financial, and psychosocial harms across three healthcare settings.

Concurrent Nab-P/Carboplatin and Thoracic Radiotherapy in Squamous Cell Lung Cancer

CarcinomaNon-Small-Cell Lung1 more

Nab-paclitaxel and carboplatin showed better treatment response compared with cremophor-based paclitaxel and carboplatin as first-line therapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer, especially for squamous cell cancer. This study is conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of nab-paclitaxel, carboplatin and concurrent radiotherapy in patients with local advanced inoperable squamous cell lung cancer.

Antiandrogen Therapy, Abiraterone Acetate, and Prednisone With or Without Neutron Radiation Therapy...

Castration-Sensitive Prostate CarcinomaMetastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the Bone6 more

This phase II trial studies how well antiandrogen therapy, abiraterone acetate, and prednisone with or without neutron radiation therapy work in treating patients with prostate cancer. Hormone therapy such as antiandrogen therapy may fight prostate cancer by blocking the production and interfering with the action of hormones. Abiraterone acetate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as prednisone, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Neutron radiation therapy uses high energy neutrons to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. It is not yet known whether antiandrogen therapy, abiraterone acetate, and prednisone with or without neutron radiation therapy may work better in treating patients with prostate cancer.

Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaNasopharyngeal Cancer

VK-2019-001 is a 1/2a trial of the oral EBNA-1 targeting agent VK-2019 in patients with EBV-positive recurrent or metastatic NPC to determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) and Recommended Phase 2 Dose (RP2D), as well as to evaluate the PK profile of VK-2019.

RBX7455 Before Surgery for the Treatment of Operable Breast Cancer

Anatomic Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage IA Breast Cancer AJCC v821 more

This clinical trial studies the side effects and possible benefits of RBX7455 given before surgery in treating patients with breast cancer that can be removed by surgery (operable). RBX7455 contains live intestinal microbes (active drug), which are obtained from healthy human stool and may restore the normal balance of microorganisms in the intestines through the transplant of live and beneficial microorganisms.

Anti-PD(L)1 and SBRT in the Treatment of Advanced, Platinum-Refractory Urothelial Carcinoma

Urothelial Carcinoma

This is a feasibility trial of anti-PDL1/PD1 (pembrolizumab) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with advanced, platinum-refractory urothelial carcinoma.

Mitomycin C Intravesical Chemotherapy in Conjunction With Synergo® Radiofrequency-Induced Hyperthermia...

Bladder CancerBladder Neoplasm10 more

This study will determine whether Synergo® RITE + MMC treatment is efficacious as second-line therapy for CIS NMIBC BCG-unresponsive patients with or without papillary NMIBC, through examination of the complete response rate (CRR) and disease-free duration for complete responders. The study will also explore progression-free survival time, bladder preservation rate, and overall survival time. The study will address an unmet need to identify a treatment effective in both ablating the disease and providing a prolonged disease-free period for patients. Ideally, the treatment will delay progression to invasive disease, thus preserving the bladder.

Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) Followed by Immunotherapy in Liver Cancer

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

External beam photon stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) using a linear accelerator to a total dose of 40 Gy in 5 fractions delivered once daily with at least 48 hours between each fraction. SBRT treatment will be completed within a 21-day window. Starting within 14 days after completion of SBRT, intravenous nivolumab 240 mg will be given every 2 weeks as monotherapy or in combination with ipilimumab 1 mg/kg IV every 6 weeks.
