ZIPS Study - Zip Incision aPproximation vs. Suture
WoundCardiac ArrhythmiaZipLine Medical, Inc. has developed a novel, non-invasive skin closure device called "Zip Surgical Skin Closure" to replace sutures, staples and glue for closure of the skin layer for surgical incisions or laceration repair. The study will be comparing the Zip Surgical Skin Closure to standard sutures in patients undergoing cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED) procedures on outcomes including closure time, cosmetic appearance of resulting scar, and overall cosmetic appearance of scar. The study will be following participants for 3 months following CIED procedure.
Munich Study for Beer Related ECG Change Workup
ArrhythmiasCardiacThe study aims to determine if acute recreational alcohol intake is associated with the occurence of ECG changes and arrhythmias.
Remote Patient Management for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices
ArrhythmiaCardiacThis is a pilot study to assess barriers, evaluate and implement a patient oriented CIED management model incorporating advanced technological innovation to promote a paradigm shift to patient-centered care involving remote CIED monitoring and programming. The advancement in technology is very important as it addresses several potential gaps and barriers in the care of patients with CIEDS: Long, expensive travel for patients Morbidity to patients due to delay in receiving appropriate treatment Efficiency in health care delivery Patient satisfaction
Cardiac Arrhythmias and Sudden Death in Patients Affected With Laminopathies
Cardiomyopathy Associated With Myopathy and Sudden DeathThis research study includes patients ages 1 to 25 years old with Lamin A/C related muscular dystrophy (LMNA-MD). The goal of this study is to evaluate how the heart is affected in children and teens with LMNA-MD. The evaluation includes an echocardiogram, an electrocardiogram, an electrophysiological study and the implantation of a subcutaneous ECG holter monitor.
Prior Statin Use and Risk of CHF, ALO and Malignant Arrhythmia in Indonesian Post-Acute Coronary...
Acute Coronary SyndromeAcute Pulmonary Edema3 moreThis study aims to evaluate the effect of statin for primary prevention, towards lowering the incidence of heart failure, acute lung edema, malignant arrhythmia and death in ACS patients.
Apixaban in Adults With Congenital Heart Disease and Atrial Arrhythmias: the PROTECT-AR Study
Congenital Heart DiseaseAtrial Arrhythmia2 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of apixaban for the prevention of thromboembolism in adult patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) and non-valvular atrial arrhythmias (AA)
Atrial Sensing Capability for Better Detection of Atrial Fibrillation
Implantable Cardioverter DefibrillatorAtrial Fibrillation2 moreThis prospective multi-center randomized controlled study aims to compare atrial fibrillation detection and inappropriate therapy according to activation of atrial sensing capability in patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
Arrhythmias in Post-Myocardial Infarction Patients
Myocardial InfarctionCoronary Artery Disease8 morePatients are screened for significant arrhythmias and other possibly significant ECG-patterns directly after discharge and two weeks after myocardial infarction using wearable devices. The home monitoring data will be linked with extensive data from electronic health records collected before, during hospital stay and after discharge. The purpose of the study is to clarify whether home monitoring of continuous ECG-signals can be used to predict and prevent serious adverse events after myocardial infarction.
LifeVest Safety and Efficacy in Real Life Settings in France
Sudden Cardiac DeathLeft Ventricular Dysfunction2 moreThis post-market study is a prospective observational study evaluating the efficacy and safety of the LifeVest in real-life settings.
Hemodynamics Measurement in Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation
Cardiac ArrhythmiaThis study will occur in patients undergoing routine cardiac ablation of his/her arrhythmia with planned use of an irrigated ablation catheter. The main objective of this study is to take intracardiac pressure measurements and pressure waveforms with both a "gold standard" balloon tipped pulmonary artery catheter placed for this study and an irrigated ablation catheter placed as standard of care for the procedure.
