The Prospective Cohort Study on the Benefit-risk of Antithrombotic or Anticoagulant Therapy in Patients...

Intracranial AneurysmNatural History2 more

This is a registry study of the natural course of unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA). In addition, the investigators will analyze the benefit-risk of antithrombotic or anticoagulant therapy in patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms associated with ischemic heart disease or ischemic cerebrovascular disease. The investigators aim to use research data to create a China national database of UIA

Retrospective Evaluation of Prognosis of Pci Patients Using Network Data in SHengjing Hospital

Coronary Heart Disease

Coronary heart disease (CHD) has a serious health threaten to population. PCI is a well-proved measure in CHD management. However, the knowledge about the real-life PCI use and how evidence-based therapies in routine clinical practice is limited. In a large-scale hospital in Northeast China, the investigators will examine various factors of 3007 consecutive PCI inpatient cases from January 1, 2010 to October 31, 2014. The medical records will be reviewed and abstracted to evaluate the clinical treatment pattern and outcomes. Basic data and innovative evidence will accelerate evidence-based clinical practice, and improve patients' outcomes in future finally.

Integrated Computational modelIng of Right Heart Mechanics and Blood Flow Dynamics in Congenital...

Congenital Heart DiseasePulmonary Hypertension

Advances in paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery have enabled the survival of most patients born with congenital heart disease (CHD) into adulthood. Many CHD patients have undergone palliative or reparative surgery earlier in life. As patients survive into adulthood, they may need intervention or surgery for residual haemodynamic lesions. This is because they are at risk of arrhythmias secondary to structure heart disease and are susceptible to acquired heart disease. In these patients, pre-operative and post-operative evaluation of right ventricular (RV) structure (shape and volume) and function is an essential component of clinical management. Advances have been made in cardiac imaging so that accurate assessment of the right heart chamber in terms of its structure, function and physiology is possible. However, this technology has as yet never been applied in an effort to comprehensively assess RV structure, function and physiology. Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) will be used in this comprehensive assessment of structure and function. Thus, this research will allow development of a comprehensive integrated biomedical engineering (BME) R&D platform for in-depth study and clinical diagnosis of the RV structure-function relationship and physiology and its association with biomarker, and exercise capacity in CHD.

Functional Diagnostic Accuracy of Quantitative Flow Ratio in Tandem Lesions and Virtual Stenting...

Coronary Artery DiseaseCardiovascular Diseases5 more

Quantitative Flow Ratio (QFR) is a novel method for evaluating the functional significance of coronary stenosis. Virtual stent implantation technique combined with QFR was recently developed to predict the functional significance of coronary stenosis as if the stenosis was revascularized. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of QFR in in tandem lesions with fractional flow reserve (FFR) as the reference standard. The secondary purpose is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of QFR-based virtual stent technique in predicting the FFR values after revascularizing the culprit lesion.

Retrospective Cohort Study on Post Analysis on the Link Between the Clinical Heart Rate and Outcomes...

Coronary Heart Disease

The trial is a single centre, retrospective cohort, non-interventional study to be conducted in the department of cardiology, Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing, China. To evaluate the link between mean perioperative clinical heart rate and short-term composite outcomes during PCI among local CHD patients.

Coronary Anomalies in Congenital Heart Disease

Congenital Heart Disease

This is a retrospective study. The investigators shall review the angiography data of 1200 consecutive cardiac catheterizations of children and babies with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) since 1998 till now. Coronary artery origin and course will be evaluated in relation to the morphologic cardiac anomalies. Coronary artery anomalies will be described and statistical analysis will be performed.

National Congenital Heart Disease Audit

Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)

The National Institute of Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR) collects data and produces analysis to enable hospitals and healthcare improvement bodies to monitor and improve the quality of care and outcomes of cardiovascular patients. The Congenital Heart Disease audit collects data on all cardiac surgery and therapeutic cardiac catheterisations procedures used to treat patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. For acquired heart disease, the audit covers all arrhythmias & cardiomyopathies in patients less than 16 years old only. For congenital heart disease, the audit collects data on both children and adult patients. The audit covers all specialist centers in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The project aims to improve the quality of care for children and adults with congenital heart disease by providing national comparative analysis of procedure specific activity and outcomes of cardiac surgery and therapeutic cardiac catheterisation procedures. The audit also provides quality indicators for the antenatal detection of major congenital heart disease. The current dataset is available from here: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/nicor/audits/congenital/datasets

Severe Aortic Stenosis in Patients Referred for Valve Surgery

Aortic StenosisValvular Heart Disease1 more

Our main hypothesis on the present study is that new parameters such as risk-taking behavior, patients motivation, health related quality of life, new biomarkers and more precise echocardiography measures in addition to traditional parameters will improve pre-operative risk assessment in patients with AS and better guide patients and doctors in decision whether to operate or not.
