Effect of Proximal Stabilization on Recruitment of the Core & Vasti in Patellofemoral Arthritis...
Chondromalacia PatellaePurpose: to investigate the effect of proximal stability on PF OA. Methods: Thirty patients with PF OA will be recruited. Patients will be randomly assigned into two groups, group A and group B . Patients in both groups will receive a traditional physical therapy treatment, but group (B) will receive additional proximal stability exercise. All patients will be evaluated for muscular recruitment strategies (onset and duration) of multifidus, transversus abdominus (TrA), gluteus medius (GM), and vasti measured by quantitative Electromyography during stair descent. pre and post-treatment.
Human ECM Implanted Within Microfracture Interstices & the Cartilage Defect in the Knee to Regenerate...
Articular Cartilage Disorder of KneeCartilage Damage1 moreHST003 is a human extracellular matrix designed for injection into the subchondral bone following microfracture surgery by an injection into the interstices created by the surgical awl and filling the full defect to help restore-regenerate hyaline cartilage to a pre-injury state. In this Phase 1/2 clinical trial, we will be addressing the knee joint in conjunction with microfracture surgery. HST003 is human extracellular matrix secreted by human dermal fibroblasts under hypoxic conditions. The various matrix proteins produce a combination structural scaffold in addition to the natural secreted glycoproteins such as lubricin, fibronectin, laminins, hyaluronic acid, and collagens - all critical components of cartilage, particularly hyaline cartilage. This Phase 1/2 study will help design additional studies to support FDA approval for the use of HST003 in focal cartilage defects in the knee resulting from recent traumatic injury.
Neocartilage Implant to Treat Cartilage Lesions of the Knee
Articular Cartilage DisorderDegeneration; Articular Cartilage3 moreISTO Technologies, Inc. is proposing a clinical study with 225 subjects, to establish the safety and efficacy of the Neocartilage Implant for the treatment of ICRS Grade 3 and 4 articular cartilage lesions of the knee compared to microfracture treatment.
Non-interventional Study With NOVOCART® 3D for the Treatment of Cartilage Defects of the Knee in...
Cartilage DiseaseProspective, multicenter, single-arm non-interventional study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and health economics of NOVOCART 3D in the Treatment fo cartilage defects of the knee in pediatric patients wieh closed epiphyseal growth plates.
Smith & Nephew's European Trufit Study
Defect of Articular CartilageThe purpose of this clinical study is to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of the Trufit CB (Cartilage Bone) implant for the treatment of single, isolated cartilage defects of the knee compared to Microfracture.
Chondrofix Osteochondral Allograft Prospective Study
Articular Cartilage DisorderDegeneration; Articular Cartilage3 moreThe overall study objective is to evaluate Chondrofix Osteochondral Allograft ("Chondrofix") for the repair of osteochondral lesions in the knee. This includes, but is not limited to primary cartilage lesion repair and revision of failed prior cartilage repair treatments. The study hypothesis is that Chondrofix Allograft will provide pain relief and functional improvement as demonstrated by a comparative analysis of baseline clinical evaluations at 24 months of follow-up.
Radiofrequency-Based Debridement vs. Mechanical Debridement for the Treatment of Articular Cartilage...
Articular Cartilage Disorder of KneeThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the changes in clinical and imaging outcomes following arthroscopic treatment of chondral lesion(s) by Radiofrequency-Based debridement or Mechanical Debridement in subjects 18-50 years of age.
Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell Transplantation in Articular Cartilage Defect
Cartilage DiseasesOsteoarthritisThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell(hUC-MSC) for articular cartilage defect of knee.
Effect of Core Stability Exercise on Isolated Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis.
Chondromalacia PatellaePurpose: to investigate the effect of core stability on PF OA. Methods: Thirty-one females with PF OA will be recruited. Patients will be randomly assigned into two groups, group A and group B . Patients in both groups will receive a traditional physical therapy treatment, but group (B) will receive additional core stability exercise. All patients will be evaluated for pain, functional performance, and muscular recruitment strategies (onset and duration) of multifidus, transversus abdominus (TrA), gluteus medius (GM), and vasti measured by quantitative Electromyography during stair ascent. pre and post-treatment.
Investigation of a Customized Femoral Resurfacing Implant
Articular Cartilage DisorderThe purpose is to assess the safety profile and performance of a femoral resurfacing implant for localized chondral lesions.
