Manual Physical Therapy and Exercise for Mechanical Neck Disorders
Neck PainRadiculitisMounting evidence does support the combined use of manual physical therapy (MPT)and exercise for patients with cervicogenic headache and mechanical neck pain. However, there is insufficient evidence to assess the effectiveness of MPT and exercise for patients with neck disorders with radicular symptoms. Our purpose for this study was to determine the effectiveness of a manual physical therapy and exercise program as compared to a minimal intervention approach in the treatment of patients with mechanical neck pain, with or without upper extremity symptoms.
Chiropractic Care, Medication, and Self-Care for Neck Pain
Neck PainThis study will compare the effectiveness of chiropractic care, medications, and self-care on neck pain, a very common condition. The broad, long-term objective of this study is to identify effective therapies for neck pain sufferers and to increase understanding of neck pain conditions.
Effect of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy Before Postural Correction Exercise in Adults With Forward...
Neck PainExtracorporeal Shock Waves Therapy1 moreCurrently, as digital leisure activities increase, more time is spent at home. According to these social trends, it is necessary to establish a program that can safely and effectively perform exercise at home. Therefore, this study assumed that if the trigger point and tension of the upper trapezius are resolved by applying ESWT before implementing the exercise program, it will have a significant effect on pain, functional aspects, and posture improvement. On this account, investigator would like to study the effect of applying ESWT before conducting the exercise program on the muscle activity ratio, craniovertebral angle, pressure pain threshold, and Neck disability index in adults with FHP.
Paramedian CESI vs Selective Nerve Root PRF for Lower Cervical Radicular Pain
Neck PainCervical RadiculopathyThis study aims to compare the efficacy of ultrasound-guided selective cervical nerve root pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) versus fluoroscopy-guided paramedian cervical epidural steroid administration (CESI) for the treatment of lower cervical radicular pain refractory to conservative treatments. For this evaluation, a numerical rating (NRS), neck disability index (NDI), and Leeds Assessment Of Neuropathic Symptoms And Signs (LANSS) scale will be used before and after both interventions.

Scapular DyskinesisThe study aimed to investigate the effect of scapular muscle training using a suspension system in patients with non spacific chronic neck pain with scapular diskinesia
Effectiveness of Virtual Reality in Patients With Chronic Neck Pain
PainNeck3 moreVirtual reality application has been increasing in recent years for pain control, distraction in wound care, treatment of anxiety disorders and support for physical rehabilitation. For example, it has been found to be effective in reducing pain when used in addition to medical treatment during bandaging of severe burns. The studies related with chronic pain patients were stated that virtual reality application was found to be interactive and fun by patients. Therefore, The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of virtual reality on pain threshold, disability, balance, proprioception, exercise sustainability, muscular performance in neck region, quality of life and anxiety / depression in addition to the exercise program that includes stabilization exercises in patients with chronic neck pain.
Optimal Duration of Stretching Exercise in Patients With Chronic Mechanical Neck Pain
Mechanical Neck Paincontroversy remains about the stretching parameters needed to achieve a particular goal or treatment outcome. In clinical practice, multiple stretching techniques are used; nevertheless, there is no evidence-based agreement on the most effective parameters. One of these parameters, that might be affecting the treatment outcome the most, is the stretching duration, thus far there is a little agreement on the optimal stretching duration. This non agreement in exact stretching parameters is obvious between authors and researchers in the field of muscle energy techniques (MET) as well as those who have used and advocate various durations for the passive stretch that follows the contraction phase in MET.
Dry Needling Effectiveness and Post-punction Pain
Neck PainThe purpose of this estudy was to dertermine if the application of Transcutaneous Nerve Stimiulation (TENS) current have an hypoalgesic effect on pattientes suffering from miofascial neck pain, compared with a only dry needling treatment. Psicological varaibles were also mesured in order to determine how they change after each treatment.
Different Home Exercise Programs in Neck Pain
Neck PainExercise TrainingPurpose: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of two different home exercise methods on exercise compliance, neck pain and neck disability in individuals with neck pain. Material and metods: The study, carried out between February 2018 and May 2018 at Istanbul Arel University Vocational School, was performed with 60 people aged 25-60 years who were suffering from neck pain in academic and administrative staff. The cases were randomly divided into two groups. In Group 1, the case was given home exercise method (B.M.E.Y) with printed materials whereas Group 2 was given exercise with home exercise method (V.H.E.Y) with video phone reminder. Pain intensity was evaluated before and after exercise with 'Visual Analog Scale' (VAS), whereas the level of neck disability was evaluated before and after exercise with 'Neck Pain and Disability Score' (NPDS). The obtained results were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods.
The Effects Of Jaw Sensorimotor System In The Treatment Of Neck Pain And Dysfunction
Neck PainPHYSIOTHERAPY1 moreThe study will be focused on non- specific chronic neck pain patients. The primary objective is to study the effects of jaw sensorimotor system in the treatment of patients with neck pain and dysfunction. It will be randomized controlled trail with the estimated sample size of 80 with both genders. The experimental group will be performed Jaw opening-closing movements with active neck flexion and extension movements and control group will be performed active neck flexion and extension movements. Both groups will be received isometric strengthening exercises, Postural Advice and Home Exercise Program with Dairy. Numeric Pain Rating scale (NPRS), Neck disability Index (NDI), Neck Proprioception tests and Neck muscles endurance test will be used as outcome measures at day 0 and week 6 for treatment effect in both groups. Tables and graphs will used for demographic descriptions and appropriate statistical tests will be applied to establish treatment effect within and between groups.
