Trigger Point PainMyofascial1 moreThe aim of this research is to determine the effects of spray and stretch technique versus sustain pressure for the management of upper trapezius triggers. A randomized control trail is conducting at Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar and Northwest General Hospital and Research center Peshawar. The sample size is 54. The Participants divide into two groups, 27 participants in Group A (receive the spray and stretch technique) and 27 in Group B (receive sustain pressure). The study duration is 6 months. Purposive non probability sampling technique applied. Only 20 to 35 years participants with upper trapezius trigger is including in this trial. Tools use in this study are visual analogue scale (VAS), Neck Disability Index (NDI), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Goniometer, Algometer and Manual muscle strength (MMT). Data analyzed through SPSS version 25.
Optimal Duration of Stretching Exercise in Patients With Chronic Mechanical Neck Pain

In clinical practice, multiple stretching techniques are used; nevertheless, there is no evidence-based agreement on the most effective parameters. One of these parameters, that might be affecting the treatment outcome the most, is the stretching duration, thus far there is a little agreement on the optimal stretching duration. This non agreement in exact stretching parameters is obvious between authors and researchers in the field of muscle energy techniques (MET) as well as those who have used and advocate various durations for the passive stretch that follows the contraction phase in MET.
Effects of Radial Shock Waves Therapy in the Treatment of Neck Pain

For this objective, subjects recruited will be allocated in an experimental group or a placebo group. Both groups will receive one manual therapy and radial shock waves therapy (real for experimental group, a sham device for placebo group) session per week along one month. Neck pain, neck function, temporomandibular pain, temporomandibular function and quality of life measured will be performed before the intervention, after the last treatment and at one month follow-up.
Effects of Basic Body Awareness Therapy on Patients With Chronic Neck Pain
Neck PainProprioceptive Disorders1 moreThe aim of this study was to compare the effects of Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) and conventional therapies (CT) on pain, balance and proprioceptive sensation of cervical region in patients with chronic neck pain. As a cross-over study, patients were divided into BBAT / CT (n=17) and CT / BBAT (n=18) groups. BBAT program has been implemented to patients within group BBAT / CT two days a week for 6 weeks while group CT / BBAT received the CT program during the same period. After the interval of 5-week, group BBAT / CT was treated with CT and group CT / BBAT was treated with BBAT. Pain severity with; Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), disability level with; Neck Disability Index (NDI), cervical proprioception with; Cervical Range of Motion Deluxe (CROM) device, balance with; Computerized Dynamic Posturography were evaluated. The evaluations were conducted before and after the first and second treatment.
Different Home Exercise Programs in Neck Pain
Neck PainExercise TrainingPurpose: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of two different home exercise methods on exercise compliance, neck pain and neck disability in individuals with neck pain. Material and metods: The study, carried out between February 2018 and May 2018 at Istanbul Arel University Vocational School, was performed with 60 people aged 25-60 years who were suffering from neck pain in academic and administrative staff. The cases were randomly divided into two groups. In Group 1, the case was given home exercise method (B.M.E.Y) with printed materials whereas Group 2 was given exercise with home exercise method (V.H.E.Y) with video phone reminder. Pain intensity was evaluated before and after exercise with 'Visual Analog Scale' (VAS), whereas the level of neck disability was evaluated before and after exercise with 'Neck Pain and Disability Score' (NPDS). The obtained results were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods.

Minority and lower socioeconomic populations have increased prevalence of chronic pain with less access to pain care and poorer outcomes. Acupuncture therapy is effective in treating chronic pain conditions including chronic low back pain (cLBP), neck pain, shoulder pain and knee pain from osteoarthritis (OA). Acupuncture therapy, including group acupuncture, is feasible and effective, and specifically so for underserved and diverse populations at risk for health outcome disparities. Acupuncture therapy also encourages patient engagement and activation. As chronic pain improves there is a natural progression to want and need to increase activity and movement recovery. Diverse movement approaches are important both for improving range of motion, maintaining gains, strengthening and promoting patient engagement and activation. Yoga therapy is an active therapy with proven benefit in musculoskeletal pain disorders and pain associated disability. The aim of this pilot feasibility trial is to test the bundling of these two care options for chronic pain, to inform both the design for a larger randomized pragmatic effectiveness trial as well as implementation strategies across underserved settings.
The Effects Of Jaw Sensorimotor System In The Treatment Of Neck Pain And Dysfunction

The primary objective is to study the effects of jaw sensorimotor system in the treatment of patients with neck pain and dysfunction. It will be randomized controlled trail with the estimated sample size of 80 with both genders. The experimental group will be performed Jaw opening-closing movements with active neck flexion and extension movements and control group will be performed active neck flexion and extension movements. Both groups will be received isometric strengthening exercises, Postural Advice and Home Exercise Program with Dairy. Numeric Pain Rating scale (NPRS), Neck disability Index (NDI), Neck Proprioception tests and Neck muscles endurance test will be used as outcome measures at day 0 and week 6 for treatment effect in both groups. Tables and graphs will used for demographic descriptions and appropriate statistical tests will be applied to establish treatment effect within and between groups.
