The Effect of the Motivational Interviewing Technique on Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings
MenopauseCervix Cancer1 moreThis study will be conducted to evaluate the effect of the motivational interviewing technique applied to menopausal women on their participation in breast and cervical cancer screenings. This is a randomized controlled intervention study in which the study sample will consist of 120 menopausal women, who visit the health care centers in the city of Kutahya. There will be one intervention group with a total of 60 participants and a control group with the same number of participants. The intervention group will have motivational interviews whereas the control group participants will follow the normal protocols.
Neo-Adjuvant Chemotherapy and Conservative Surgery in Cervical Cancer to Preserve Fertility
Cervical CancerIf no metastases are observed, patients will start a short protocol of four courses of weekly neo-adjuvant chemotherapy (12 weeks). If response to chemotherapy results in a tumor of less than 2 cm, cervical conisation will be performed.
Epidemiological Landscape of Cervical Cancer in Latin America
Uterine Cervical NeoplasmsA portrait of clinical and epidemiological aspects of cervical cancer in Latin America is required to understand the high frequency of cervical cancer despite the existence of effective preventive tools. A better understanding of the current situation of this scenario will provide a valuable groundwork for the development of national and cooperative programs to improve cervical cancer prevention and treatment.
The LYSA (Linking You to Support and Advice) Trial
SurvivorshipBreast Cancer2 moreThis study's aim is to evaluate the feasibility of introducing a women's malignancy survivorship clinic incorporating symptom management through ePRO collection (complex intervention) into routine follow up care in patients with early-stage Hormone Receptor(HR)-positive breast and gynaecologic cancer post primary curative therapy.
Clinical Trial of PM00104 (Zalypsis®) in Patients With Advanced and/or Metastatic Endometrial or...
Uterine Cervical CancerEndometrial CancerThis study is a phase II clinical and pharmacokinetic trial of PM00104 (Zalypsis®) in patients with advanced and/or metastatic endometrial or cervical cancer previously treated with one line of systemic chemotherapy to evaluate the antitumor activity and to determine the safety profile, the pharmacokinetic profile and the pharmacogenomic profile.
Intra-Pelvic Organ Motion for Cervix Cancer Patient Using Imaging
Cervix CancerPatients with cervix cancer having radiotherapy experience side-effects because the radiotherapy fields have to be quite large to account for tumour movement in the pelvis during treatment, this irradiates a lot of normal tissues. This study aims to characterize and model the tumour motion, as well as the motion of surrounding normal tissues, during treatment. By doing this, the investigators can look at ways to minimise tumour motion and spare more normal tissues. By tailoring the radiotherapy dose more accurately, the investigators will reduce the side-effects of treatment and improve local control of the tumour. By doing multiple magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the patients during treatment, the investigators can identify where the tumour and surrounding normal tissues are at that point in time. Collecting all the information from these scans, will allow the investigators to model the motion of the tumour and these pelvic organs, and investigate the best way to target the tumour while still sparing normal tissues.
Isotretinoin, Interferon Alpha-2b, and Paclitaxel in Stage IV, Recurrent, or Persistent Cervical...
Cervical CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Sometimes when chemotherapy is given, it does not stop the growth of tumor cells. The tumor is said to be resistant to chemotherapy. Giving isotretinoin and interferon alpha-2b together with paclitaxel may reduce drug resistance and allow the tumor cells to be killed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving isotretinoin and interferon alpha-2b together with paclitaxel works in treating patients with stage IV, recurrent, or persistent cervical cancer.
Long-Term Follow-Up of HPV FOCAL Participants
Cervical CancerThis FOCAL follow-up study aims to assess the long-term effectiveness and safety of primary HPV testing for cervical cancer screening. A cohort of participants from the original FOCAL study will be asked to see their health care provider to submit another cervical sample for cytology and HPV testing. This will permit evaluation of long term safety and effectiveness of primary HPV testing up to ten years after a participant's first screening in the FOCAL study and comparison of primary HPV testing to HPV and cytology co-testing.

Recurrent Gynecological CancerMetastatic Cervical Cancer9 moreThis research study is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of 2 immunotherapy drugs in combination with radiation therapy as a possible treatment for recurrent or metastatic gynecologic cancer. The names of the immunotherapy drugs involved in this study are: Durvalumab Tremelimumab
A Study of BIND-014 in Patients With Urothelial Carcinoma, Cholangiocarcinoma, Cervical Cancer and...
Urothelial CarcinomaCholangiocarcinoma2 moreBIND-014 (docetaxel nanoparticles for injectable suspension) is being studied in patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma, cervical cancer, cholangiocarcinoma or carcinomas of the biliary tree and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Ferumoxytol imaging will also be investigated at US sites as an exploratory endpoint.
