There are three types of radiation treatment used for pelvic bone sarcomas: surgery with or without photon/proton therapy, proton therapy alone, and carbon ion therapy alone. The purpose of this study is to compare quality of life among patients treated for pelvic bone sarcomas across the world, and to determine if carbon ion therapy improves quality of life compared to surgery and disease control compared with proton therapy.

Locally Advanced Unresectable Primary Central ChondrosarcomaMetastatic Primary Central Chondrosarcoma1 moreThis phase II trial studies the effect of belinostat and SGI-110 (guadecitabine) or ASTX727 in treating patients with conventional chondrosarcoma that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable) and has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Belinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Chemotherapy drugs, such as guadecitabine and ASTX727, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving belinostat in combination with guadecitabine or ASTX727 may lower the chance of unresectable and metastatic chondrosarcoma growing or spreading.
A Phase II Study of EVEROLIMUS in Patients With Primary or Relapsed Chondrosarcomas
ChondrosarcomaThe mainstay of chondrosarcoma treatment is a wide surgical resection. Unfortunately, this is a rare occurrence, and patients with incomplete resection have very poor therapeutic options. In this context, it becomes important to find new therapeutic strategies to slow down tumor progression and to reduce tumor size before resection. Pre-clinical and clinical data suggest that EVEROLIMUS should be efficient as adjuvant and neo-adjuvant therapy in chondrosarcoma. Then, investigators propose a phase II, randomized, open label study compounded by 3 arms (1:1:1) to assess efficiency of EVEROLIMUS as neo-adjuvant therapy in patients with primary or relapsed chondrosarcomas : ARM 1 = No treatment; ARM 2 = 2,5 mg Everolimus/day; ARM 3 = 10 mg Everolimus/day. The treatments will be taken for 4 weeks before surgery, apart from any premature withdrawn

OsteosarcomaChondrosarcomaHypothesis: Tumor infiltrating neutrophils are present in osteosarcomas and chondrosarcomas and Experimental design: Exploratory observational research Population: Adult patients with osteosarcoma or chondrosarcoma Assessment criteria: Determination of the presence of TANs within tumors and their N1 or N2 profile, the presence of other immune cells, and the PDL-1 status of the tumor. Investigation plan: Proposal to participate at all eligible patient during the preoperative consultation. If the patient agrees to participate in the study he/she will be included. Participation in the study will not affect its coverage. Patient participation will lead to: Taking samples from an operative part, The collection of demographic data (age, sex, height, weight, body mass index), family history of cancer, history of bone trauma, sports practice, clinical and anatomopathology reports and data, medical history (Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Autoimmune Diseases, Bone Metabolism Disorders, Allergies, Menopause, Drug treatments followed, Psychiatric disorders). Statistical analysis plan: Description in frequency of the presence of TANs, of N1 and N2 profiles, of the presence of other immune cells both qualitatively and quantitatively. Analysis in subgroups on relevant criteria (age, sex, location, type of tumor).
