Chronic Hepatitis C InfectionCompensated Cirrhosis

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ABT-450/ritonavir/ABT-267 (ABT-450/r/ABT-267; ABT-450 also known as paritaprevir; ABT-267 also known as ombitasvir) and ABT-333 (also known as dasabuvir) coadministered with ribavirin (RBV) in hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1-infected adults with compensated cirrhosis.

Phase 3 Study of GSK548470 in Patients With Compensated Chronic Hepatitis B Untreated With Nucleic...

Hepatitis BChronic

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GSK548470 administered once daily at a dose level of 300 mg to Japanese patients with compensated chronic hepatitis B untreated with any nucleic acid analogue. In efficacy, the non-inferiority of GSK548470 to ETV will be verified using the antiviral effect as the index.

Peg-interferon ADDed to an Ongoing Nucleos(t)Ide Based Treatment in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis...

Chronic Hepatitis B

A prospective, randomised, open-label phase IIb clinical trial assessing the effect of pegylated interferon alfa-2a(Pegasys®) 180 μg once weekly for 48 weeks added to an ongoing nucleos(t)ide based treatment in patients with chronic HBeAg-negative hepatitis B The primary objective of the trial is to investigate whether the add-on of pegylated interferon alfa-2a to a continued treatment with nucleos(t)ide analogues increases the percentage of patients who have significant decrease (≥ 1log10) of HBs antigen after 48 weeks. 170 Patients with chronic hepatitis B, HBe antigen negative, already being treated with an oral antiviral regimen and having a nondetectable viral load for at least 12 months are included.

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Quadruple Therapy (VX-222, Telaprevir,Peginterferon-Alfa-2a,...

Chronic Hepatitis C Virus

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a quadruple regimen (VX-222, telaprevir, pegylated interferon, and ribavirin)in subjects with hepatitis C with cirrhosis.

Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin in Chronic Hepatitis C

Chronic Hepatitis CLiver Cirrhosis

In this study the investigators examine the safety and efficacy of Keyhole-limpet-hemocyanin in patients with chronic hepatitis c infection and liver cirrhosis. The investigators hypothesize that administration of keyhole-limpet-hemocyanin reduces the viral load in patients infected with hepatitis c.

A Study to Evaluate Chronic Hepatitis C Infection in Adults With Genotype 1a Infection

Chronic Hepatitis C Infection

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and antiviral activity of ABT-450/ritonavir/ABT- 267 (ABT-450/r/ABT-267; ABT-450 also known as paritaprevir; ABT-267 also known as ombitasvir) and ABT-333 (also known as dasabuvir) with and without ribavirin (RBV) in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1a (HCV GT1a) infection without cirrhosis.

A Study of Response-Guided Duration of Combination Therapy With GS-9190, GS-9256, Pegasys® and Copegus®...

Chronic Hepatitis C Infection

This phase 2b study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of 16 and 24 weeks of response-guided duration of therapy with GS-9190 and GS-9256 in combination with Peginterferon Alfa-2a (Pegasys®) and Ribavirin (Copegus®). Additionally, the efficacy and safety of 24 weeks of GS-9256 in combination with Peginterferon Alfa-2a (Pegasys®) and Ribavirin (Copegus®) will be evaluated.

Antioxidant and Immunomodulator Properties of Viusid in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C

Chronic Hepatitis C

The pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) is associated to severe oxidative stress and non-selective immunological disturbance that leads to necro-inflammation and progression of fibrosis. Previous trials suggested that antioxidant and inmunostimulant therapies may have a beneficial effect. The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether Viusid, a nutritional supplement with hepatoprotective properties, could ameliorate the oxidative stress and modulate the immune response in patients with CHC and non-responders to pegylated interferon plus ribavirin, during 24 weeks of treatment.
