Prioritising and Optimising Multi-medication in Multimorbidity
Chronic DiseaseObjective: To investigate whether the complex intervention will improve the appropriateness of prescriptions in elderly multi-morbid patients with multi-medication in general practices. Study hypothesis: The primary objective of the study is to determine whether the complex intervention will improve the appropriateness of prescriptions compared to usual care. The primary efficacy endpoint is the change in the Medication Appropriateness Index (MAI) score from baseline (T0) to 6 months after baseline (T1), i.e. the difference MAI T1-T0.

Pulmonary DiseaseChronic ObstructiveTo evaluate the effect of the drug in moderate to severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in Adults.
Nutritional Rehabilitation in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Patients With Muscle...
Pulmonary DiseaseChronic Obstructive1 moreTo study in clinically stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients with muscle atrophy: The short-term effects of 4 months exercise training including nutritional supplementation versus exercise training alone on physical functioning (skeletal muscle strength and exercise capacity) and body composition. The long-term effects of 4 months of exercise training and nutritional supplementation followed by 8 months of nutritional counseling (with supplementation on advice) and feedback on physical activity level versus 4 months of exercise training and 8 months with feedback on physical activity level alone on physical functioning, body composition and cardiometabolic risk profile; The cost-effectiveness of exercise rehabilitation and nutritional intervention versus exercise rehabilitation alone.
The Effect of Soy Protein on Post- Breast Cancer Surgery Pain
PainChronic Disease1 moreThe incidence of chronic pain after breast cancer surgery (CPBCS) is high in women diagnosed with breast cancer. Similar to other chronic postoperative pain conditions, existing treatments for CPBCS do not always work. Adopting the concept of using pain relieving measures prior to surgery rather than after it, may lead to decreased postoperative pain levels. Soy has been shown to have pain-relieving properties and may reduce the risk for developing chronic post-surgical pain. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of adding soy protein to the diet before surgery on the development of chronic pain.
Efficacy Study of a Standardized Pollen Extract Preparation (Cernilton) to Treat Inflammatory Chronic...
Chronic ProstatitisChronic Pelvic Pain SyndromeIn this placebo controlled study the safety and efficacy of Cernilton, a standardized pollen extract, in men with inflammatory chronic prostatitis-chronic pelvic pain syndrome was investigated. The purpose of this study is to determine whether Cernilton is safe and effective in patients with inflammatory chronic prostatitis-chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
Modulation of Central Hypersensitivity in Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain by Intravenous Tropisetron...
PainChronic DiseaseChronic pain is associated with hypersensitivity of the central nervous system. The drug under investigation (tropisetron) has been shown in animal studies to attenuate central hypersensitivity. It has therefore the potential to be effective in chronic pain. We compare two doses of tropisetron with placebo in patients with chronic pain. We measure pain intensity and parameters that assess central hypersensitivity.
Efficacy of Acupuncture for Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
Chronic ProstatitisChronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) affects many adult men worldwide. So far, available therapies offer little or no proven benefit to CP/CPPS. The investigators design and implement this study is to assess efficacy of acupuncture therapy performed in the CP/CPPS .
Nutritional Supplementation in Adults With Chronic Respiratory Disease
MalnutritionPulmonary Disease3 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine whether nutritional support with a complete formula is effective to improve malnutrition and respiratory function in patients with chronic pulmonary disease compared to the standard hospital dietary advise.
