Machine Learning-based Anomaly Recognition System

Fetal Anomaly

MARS is an artificial intelligence-powered system that aims at detecting common fetal anomalies during real-time obstetrics ultrasound. The current study comprises 2 stages: (1) The stage of model creation which will include retrospective collection of images from fetal anatomy scans with known diagnoses to train these model and test their diagnostic accuracy. (2) The stage of model validation through prospective application of this model to collected videos with known normal and abnormal diagnoses

Parental Attitudes to Neoanus Dilatations Post-reconstruction in Anorectal Malformations

Anorectal Malformations

The goal of this qualitative clinical trial is to learn about parental attitudes and experiences of performing post-operative dilatation anal dilatations for their child with an anorectal malformation. The main question it aims to answer are: 1. What are parental experiences/attitudes towards performing anal dilatations post-operatively. In the first part of the study, participants will take part in a small virtual focus group discussion to identify themes to aid design of a semi-structured interview for part 2. In part 2, participants will undergo a virtual semi-structured interview. The answers will be recorded, anonymised, transcribed and undergo thematic analysis.

Metatarsal Phalangeal Joint Deformity Progression - R01

Diabetes Mellitus

The purpose of this research study is to determine the relationships between foot muscle, foot motion, and toe deformity. Results from this investigation will help the investigators to understand what contributes to foot deformities and the role of the foot muscles in the development of foot deformities. This could potentially guide treatment options focusing on strengthening the foot muscles to prevent or reduce the risk of developing a foot deformity.

Experimental Evaluation of Back Braces for the Treatment of Spinal Deformity Produced With 3D Printing...

Adolescent Idiopathic ScoliosisOsteogenesis Imperfecta

The proposed investigation is a pilot study that involves pediatric patients affected by spinal deformity (Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis and Osteogenesis Imperfecta). The main goal is to evaluate the acceptability, the safety and the overall satisfaction of the patients wearing the back braces produced with an innovative methodology using 3D printers, compared to the current braces manufactured with a production model based on thermoforming, that has well-established clinical efficacy.

Brain Arteriovenous MalformationBrain Vascular Malformations1 more

This is a clinical trial/study for patients diagnosed with brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM). An AVM is an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins of the brain. Patients considered for this trial are 21 years and younger with AVM suitable for embolization treatment (a procedure used to block the abnormal connection between the arteries and veins of the brain) with Onyx Liquid Embolic System (Onyx LES) or TruFill n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate (n-BCA) Liquid Embolic System (both are liquid substances used in the embolization procedure to block the abnormal connection).

Vascular Malformations and Abnormalities of Growth

Abnormality

To take part in this study you/your child have a vascular malformation, a type of blood vessel disorder whose cause is unknown. The investigators will do this by looking at changes in the genes and proteins in the cells of the malformation as well as normal cells. The investigators are doing this research because currently there is no known cause of vascular malformations and no way to know whether or not other health problems will occur in addition to the malformation. Through this research we hope to create standard methods for doctors to examine and treat people with vascular anomalies.
