Quality of Life and Health Economic Measurements in Allergic Patients Treated With Immunotherapy...

HypersensitivityAsthma3 more

Grass pollen and house dust mites (HDM) are the most common allergens causing allergic rhino-conjunctivitis (RC) and/or asthma (A). Subcutaneous allergen specific immunotherapy (SCIT) reduces symptoms and use of medication. The purpose of SABAL is to assess the effect of SCIT on disease severity classifications in terms of number of days affected- and sick days on patients with grass pollen and/or HDM induced disease. These outcome measures will be gathered in one single measure: Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALY)

Diagnostic Equivalence of the Skin Prick Test Tape vs. Conventional Skin PrickTest

Allergic RhinitisAllergic Asthma2 more

Testing of a new ready-to-use Tape in comparison to the currently used skin prick test for the diagnosis of allergies. Assessment of clinical equivalence of the SPT Tape for representative common inhalant allergens to conventional SPT in terms of wheal reaction positivity and overall safety. Tests are performed in patients who have a medical history of relevant allergic rhinitis to any of the tested allergens.

HORMONES IN VERNAL KERATOCONJUNCTIVITIS

ConjunctivitisVernal

VKC is more common in males and tends to resolve with pubertal development. Clinical observation was not followed by an investigation that clarified whether there is a correlation between the hormonal pattern and the evolution of the disease, in particular it is not defined whether there is a correlation between the hormonal pattern and the resolution of the disease. This study aims to evaluate the hormonal pattern in patients with VKC and, in particular, the possible role of these hormones in the resolution of this condition in puberty.

Food-specific IgG4-guided Elimination Diets Improve Allergy Symptoms in Children

RhinitisAllergic6 more

Allergic diseases in children are major public health concerns due to their widespread and rising prevalence. The most classic pathway to trigger allergy is type I allergy mediated by immunoglobulin E(IgE), but the role of immunoglobulin G4(IgG4) in allergic diseases is still worth exploring.we have collected the data of allergic patients aged 0-14 years for retrospective cross-sectional analysis to evaluate the positive rates of total IgE, HDM IgE, FS-IgE and FS-IgG4. Meanwhile, investigators screened out patients who were treated with FS-IgG4-guided elimination diets with/without probiotics for more than 3 months to clarify the role of FS-IgG4 in childhood allergic diseases by assessing the improvement of clinical symptoms before and after treatment.

Evaluation of Tolerability and Safety of "Allergovac Poliplus" in Polysensitized Patients With Rhinitis...

Allergic RhinitisRhinoconjunctivitis1 more

This is an observational prospective study to assess the tolerability and safety of treatment of SCIT Allergovac Poliplus polymerized in depot presentation. The study drug will be administered either by a 1 day Schedule or by a rapid Schedule (3 increasing weekly doses at initiation period till maintenance dose is reached) The study population is both: adult and child, polysensitized to at least 2 allergen sources with rhinitis or allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. Patients may also present a concomitant mild or moderate asthma. The assignment of a patient to a particular therapeutic strategy will not be decided in advanced by a trial protocol but will be determined by routine clinical practice. The decision of the investigator to prescribe a particular treatment will be clearly dissociated from the decision to include the patient in the study. The patients will not suffer any intervention, whether diagnostic or monitoring, other than the usual in clinical practice.
