Since the beginning of the SARS CoV 2 pandemia, the SARS CoV 2 was frequently compared with the seasonal influenza virus. However, few studies compared patients presenting acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) induced by these viruses, with results being discordant. Our study means to compare mortality and morbidity of patients hospitalized in an intensive care unit (ICU) with ARDS induced by SARS CoV-2 and seasonal influenza.

This study will assess the clinical performance of the T-Detect™ COVID test to identify an immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection in the setting of multiple circulating variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The goal of our proposed pilot study is to collect low dose CT (LDCT) findings from chest evaluations of a representative sample of 120 symptomatic Caucasian and African American, and Hispanic adults (45 each), stratified by presence of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and COVID-19 positivity or negative PCR screening results. These data will provide us with preliminary data on the type and extent of alveolar remodeling by race and by severity of recent infectious respiratory disease. Findings from our study would will help us to determine if a larger multi-site research application to NHLBI or a similar funding agency might be possible and provide critical preliminary data on variation in LDCT findings by COVID-19 attributable respiratory health, race, and other risk factors (e.g., smoking history, comorbidities, and socioeconomic status).

Therefore, it is essential to know if there is a maternal viremia which infects the fetus because the consequences in terms of management would be completely different. In fact, the potential intrauterine infection will lead to antenatal monitoring of these patients with an antenatal diagnosis and may be a treatment. Therefore, it seems essential to explore the mode of transmission to the newborn since many newborns have COVID-19 infection The investigators will propose to all pregnant women SARS- Cov-2 positive to perform PCR SARS-Cov-2 tests and /or serology's (IgM and Ig G) on the amniotic fluid, the blood cord and the placenta.

The COVID-19 pandemic of SARS CoV2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, COVID-19) infection, which is currently evolving in France, raises many questions about the clinical and biological profile of infected hospitalized patients.
