While there is a clear correlation between oxidative stress markers and the severity of many viral diseases such as hepatitis C, for SARS-CoV clinical data is limited. The investigators aim at 1.) investigating DNA damage, oxidative stress, inflammation, and aging markers in COVID-19 patients and compare them with age and gender matched healthy controls and patients with influenza; and 2.) investigating all aforementioned parameters during "cytokine storm" via repeated blood sampling.

National Survey of Mental Health After COVID-19 Outbreak
Mental Health ImpairmentThe Serbian national survey - acronym CoV2Soul.RS - has been launched to document mental health (MH) status and understand needs of the population in relation to the prolonged global public health crisis. This cross-sectional study will collect a representative national sample (18-65 years) by multi-stage probabilistic household sampling method. Trained staff will conduct face-to-face diagnostic interviews (M.I.N.I.). Battery of self-report instruments will be used to measure quality of Life (QoL), level of distress, and associated protective and harmful psychological and societal factors. The investigators aim to assess prevalence rates of MH disorders and associated QoL in the nationally representative sample, to explore how MH conditions and QoL vary with respect to socio-demographic variables, personality, health status and traumatic events during pandemics, and to find how these relationships depend on societal factors characterising municipalities in which they live. Moreover, this study will address perception of pandemic consequences and associated distress in relation to personality and different types of possible mediators. The prevalence rates of MH disorders will be calculated as percentages of participants with a positive diagnosis. The hierarchical structure of the data will be analyzed using Multilevel Random Coefficient Modeling, CoV2Soul.RS will contribute to an international evidence base about prevalence rates of psychiatric conditions during different phases of the pandemic in different regions and will identify protective and harmful psychological and societal factors for MH and QoL.

In particular defining severity with objective testing and determining if this has any predictive value on the outcome of the SARS CoV-2 infection. In addition, this study will strive to determine duration / natural history of olfactory dysfunction in these patients in respect to a positive SARS CoV-2 diagnosis. It should also demonstrate the impact of olfactory dysfunction on patient Quality of Life (QOL).
COVID-19 Serological Status of Hospital Staff Working or Not in the COVID-19 Sector
Infection ViralHospital staff, on the front line in the COVID-19 crisis, have many questions about the risk that they have been infected with this potentially fatal virus. These questions of course primarily concern caregivers working in sectors dedicated to COVID-19 patients, whether they are resuscitating or not, but also those in non-COVID-19 sectors, or even staff without direct contact with patients. In addition, depending on the suddenness and intensity of this "COVID-19 wave", these personnel have been more or less trained and sometimes exposed due to the dire lack of protective equipment. In some countries such as Great Britain, this has resulted in significant absenteeism, a source of deepening the shortage of caregivers. This proportion of contaminated caregivers has not been evaluated on the whole of French territory. Studies from other countries suggest figures ranging from 1.5% in China to 20% in Italy. It is therefore impossible to rely on such variable data to have a reliable estimate. Since june 2020, all staff in French health establishments could benefit a serological test. Thus, in this epidemiological study, we propose to rely on this institutional serological screening to describe the link between seroconversion of hospital staff, regional intensity of the epidemic, and sectors of activity (COVID-19 sectors, non-COVID-19 caregivers , non-COVID-19 non-caregivers.
The Role of a Private Hospital in Hong Kong Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
COVIDHong Kong public healthcare system is facing tremendous pressure under the COVID-19 pandemic. As the virus spread in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital (HKSH) is one of the first private hospitals which immediately provide reliable and rapid COVID-19 test -- Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Early provision of the RT-PCR screening test for COVID-19 not only facilitates identification of COVID-19 but also contains the spread of the virus in the community and frontline medical staff. Since description of role of private hospital in Hong Kong amid COVID-19 pandemic is lacking, this study will describe COVID-19 screening algorithm and methodology. A retrospective analysis on clinical characteristics, laboratory findings as well as outcome of patients who underwent COVID-19 test in HKSH is also performed.

Attitude of Egyptian Population Toward COVID 19 in Ramadan
Covid 19During the COVID 19 pandemic and after new cases started to appear in Egypt in march 2020 the Egyptian government issued movement restrictions and placed areas into quarantine to reduce the spread of the virus. Egyptian citizens were encouraged to adopt personal protective measures, such as staying at home , increasing personal hygiene and wearing protective face masks. Ramadan is a holy month and a very special event for all the Muslims worldwide including the Egyptian Muslims . the Egyptians have many rituals and traditions special for Ramadan . normally Egyptian people tend to go to family gatherings and go out for iftar and suhoor in Ramadan .the markets also tend to be very crowded and full of people in Ramadan for buying food and other preparations for Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. This all can lead to crowdingof people in the streets and markets and increases the chance of the spread of the virus and the chance of infection.Public Awareness play a major rule in reducing the spread of COVID 19 so in this study a survey is done to measure the attitude of the Egyptian population toward COVID 19 in Ramadan and to evaluate if the rituals and traditions in the holy month are affecting the spread of COVID 19 in Egypt.
Acute Encephalopathy in Critically Ill Patients With COVID-19
COVID-19Encephalopathy1 moreInfection with SARS-CoV-2 or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronarvirus type 2 was highlighted in December 2019 in the city of Wuhan in China, responsible for an pandemic evolution since March 11, 2020. The infection affects all ages of life, although affecting children in a very small proportion of cases. The typical presentation of the disease combines fever (98%), cough (76%), myalgia and asthenia (18%) as well as leukopenia (25%) and lymphopenia (63%). Upper airway involvement rare. The main clinical presentation requiring hospitalization of infected patients is that of atypical pneumonia which may require critical care management (27%), and progress to an acute respiratory distress syndrome (67%) involving life-threatening conditions in almost 25% of patients diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Other organ damage have been reported, mainly concerning kidney damage (29%) which may require renal replacement therapy in approximately 17% of patients. Neurological damage has been very rarely studied, yet reported in 36% of cases in a study including patients of varying severity. Finally, the mortality associated with this emerging virus is high in patients for whom critical care management is necessary, reported in 62% of patients. We therefore propose a prospective observational study which aim at reporting the prevalence of acute encephalopathy at initial management in Critical/Intensive care or Neurocritical care , to report its morbidity and mortality and to identify prognostic factors.
