A Study of LY2189265 and Sitagliptin in Participants With Type 2 Diabetes
Diabetes MellitusType 2The purpose of this study is to study the effect of LY2189265 on how the body absorbs and processes a Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) drug (sitagliptin) and how sitagliptin affects LY2189265 when they are taken together. The duration of participation in this study is expected to be approximately 61 days. The study requires 2 clinic confinements (one of 2 nights and one of 19 nights duration). The study involves 3 injections, subcutaneous, of 1.5 milligrams (mg) LY2189265 and 18 daily doses of 100 mg sitagliptin tablets administered orally.

Diabetes MellitusType 2The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy of enhanced published best practice paper-based insulin titration protocol for glycaemic control in hospitalised patients with type 2 diabetes for the length of hospital stay.

Shiga Microalbuminuria Reduction Trial-2
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusHypertensionThe purpose of this study is to compare the effects of a direct renin inhibitor (DRI), aliskiren, on the urinary albumin excretion in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes under strict blood pressure control with angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB).

A Comparison of Atorvastatin and Glimepiride Fixed Dose Combination and Atorvastatin and Glimepiride...
Diabetes MellitusType 2The aim of this 20 week study is to show that glimepiride/atorvastatin fixed dose combination tablet is safe and as effective as atorvastatin + glimepiride combination taken as separate tablets, in improving glycaemic control (glycated haemoglobin, HbA1c) and cholesterol levels (Low-density lipoprotein, LDL) in diabetic subjects, who are inadequately controlled on a stable dose of metformin. Eight dose combinations will be included.

A Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability Study of Canagliflozin in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus...
Diabetes MellitusType 2The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of the addition of canagliflozin relative to the addition of placebo in patients with inadequate glycemic control on metformin alone or in combination with a sulphonylurea.

Multiple Ascending Dose Trial of BYK324677 in Healthy Volunteers
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThis monocenter trial is conducted to obtain first data on safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) after multiple ascending doses of BYK324677 in humans. In addition, the trial should provide preliminary information on a possible influence of sex, food intake, and posology (once or twice daily administration of BYK324677) to support the further planning of the drug development programme.
