Maine Implementation Study - Phase III
AnxietyTrauma2 moreThis study focused on youths who were referred to community-based mental healths clinics for problems related to disruptive behaviors, depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, and any combination of these problems. Therapists were randomly assigned to deliver usual treatment procedures (usual care, or UC) in their clinics or an evidence-based, modularized treatment (Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems, or MATCH-ADTC). Assessments were conducted at pre-treatment and post-treatment, and every 3 to 6 months for two years. Results will address critical questions about deployment of evidence-based youth practices to clinical settings.

Digital Parent Training for Disruptive Behaviors in Children
Disruptive BehaviorAggression Childhood4 moreThis is an open pilot trial of web-based parent training for tantrums and disruptive behavior in children. Parents will be asked to complete a battery of tests to assess their children' behaviors before and after the intervention. Children will undergo a psychiatric evaluation as part of screening. The intervention will be delivered online via an app over a period of 6 weeks. It consists of 8 self-guided courses that take approximately 10 minutes to complete and include text and animated parent-child simulations. Parents will also complete 3 one-hour videoconferencing sessions with a study clinician. During the intervention, parents will be taught various strategies for managing situations that can be anger provoking for their child. This study is conducted to examine whether a digitally-delivered version of parent-management training can be used to reduce behavioral problems including anger outbursts, irritability, aggression and noncompliance.

Executive Function and Symptom Reduction in Youth Receiving Home-based Treatment With Collaborative...
Child BehaviorProblem Behavior1 moreIn this project, the investigators will extend prior results of parent-reported executive function growth and symptom reduction in children receiving home-based treatment with the Collaborative Problem Solving treatment approach (CPS), with a particular focus on examining children who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The investigators will examine executive functioning (EF) of children who are receiving CPS, measuring EF with parent-report and objective computer-based tasks, at two timepoints: at the start of treatment and approximately four months later, and will collect symptoms at these plus three additional timepoints: at discharge, 6-months after discharge, and 12-months after discharge.
The Clinic Treatment Project
AnxietyDepression1 moreThe Clinic Treatment Project tested two alternative methods of delivering evidence-based practices within public community-based mental health clinics, using training and supervision procedures designed for the settings and users.

Joint Attention-Based Occupational Therapy Intervention in Pre-Schoolers With Autism Spectrum Disorder...
Autism Spectrum DisorderSocial Communication2 moreIn order to support the development of preschool children, joint attention training with activities incorporated in their natural routines can support the achievement of occupational therapy goals. This study explores the adjunctive benefit of a joint attention-based occupational therapy program offered in addition to the usual special education program (USEP) compared to USEP alone. The present study was designed as a randomized controlled study, including pre-post testing. The Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ), Autism Behaviour Checklist (ABC), and A Motor-Free Visual Perception Test 4 (MVPT-4) were implemented to measure the participants' conditions before and after the intervention.
