The proposed study is a clinical trial, designed to pilot test a Distress Tolerance-Benzodiazepine Discontinuation (DT-BD) intervention for patients on opioid agonist therapy who currently use benzodiazepines. The DT-BD intervention is an adjunctive psychosocial intervention in people seeking to discontinue (BZD) use. The goal of the study is to assess the applicability and feasibility of this intervention through treatment retention and qualitative interviews with four participants who are receiving opioid agonist treatment and who regularly use BZDs.

This treatment development study is aimed at developing and pilot testing a 20-week remotely delivered group intervention that integrates two evidence-based treatments: 1) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills - targeting parental emotion dysregulation and substance use, and 2) Parent Training (PT) - targeting parenting behaviors linked to children's mental health. The case study will provide preliminary data on the feasibility of the DBT Skills +PT intervention and its engagement of the targeted outcomes, and aims to complete foundational steps necessary to conducting a future, larger scale randomized controlled trial. Specific aims are to: Determine feasibility, acceptability and implementation. Evaluate pre-post and weekly changes in measures of parental emotion regulation, parenting stress, parenting quality and children's mental health.

The goal of this project is to engage community members from two low-income African American communities (N=200) in a survey study that assesses stigma toward those with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Those from the intervention community will be subject to a stigma reduction campaign via billboards. Those from the control community will not. Stigma will be re-assessed following the period of the campaign.

This study will provide important information concerning the used of mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP) as a continuing care strategy for Veterans who have completed primary treatment for a SUD. Most research is focused on the acute care of SUDs, but the risk of relapse to substance use is highest during the period immediately following treatment and attention to continuing care is critical. If this trial demonstrates that MBRP promotes sustained abstinence and improved functional outcomes, this will provide a valuable treatment to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery for Veterans with SUDs.

Individuals will be recruited by posted advertisements in the waiting rooms of the PCP offices and by physician referral. After an initial phone screen, research staff will meet with interested individuals in their PCP offices for informed consent, baseline interview and randomization. Participants will be randomized into a Health Education study arm, and receive 7 individual sessions on general health education, or an Intervention study arm, and receive 7 individual sessions of the Treating Opioid Patients' Pain and Sadness (TOPPS) intervention.

The purpose of this study is to compare 6-month treatment outcomes for 15-21 year old opioid-dependent youth receiving extended release naltrexone (XR-NTX) v. Treatment as Usual (TAU).

This study plans to develop an integrated treatment for comorbid post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse (SA) in adolescents. The investigators aim to develop a treatment approach that is community-friendly, well-tolerated, and deliverable by substance abuse counselors (SAC) in outpatient settings. The proposed Trauma-Focused Substance Abuse Treatment (TFSAT) aims to reduce PTSD symptoms and substance use and build coping skills. The investigators propose to adapt an evidence-based trauma program, Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), for adolescent substance abusers (ASAbusers); to assess the acceptability and feasibility of the integrated approach; and to pilot test the new program against standard care. The investigators hypothesize that the intervention group, compared to the control group, will reduce substance use and symptoms for traumatic stress.

A person-centered substance use treatment component, the Natural Recovery Program, was developed in a residential substance use treatment setting. The Natural Recovery Program is comprised of small group therapy combined with pursuit of hobbies. The study examined treatment retention, treatment completion and satisfaction of participants of Natural Recovery compared to those who participated in core residential treatment activities alone.

The number of people seeking treatment for marijuana-related problems is on the rise, yet there is no currently accepted medication proven to help them quit. Frequent marijuana users have reported that they have trouble sleeping when they try to quit, and that the loss of sleep can lead to relapse. This research is designed to measure the severity of sleep problems in people as they are trying to quit heavy use of marijuana, and to investigate whether extended-release zolpidem (Ambien CR®) can improve quit rates among people trying to stop using marijuana.

This protocol (a supplement to 805466) is to test whether our telephone continuing care model can be implemented successfully by "real world" publicly funded programs. Participants will be recruited from Philadelphia's Department of Behavioral Health - run drug programs. The investigators will train city telephone care managers to deliver our telephone continuing care intervention to patients in this program. The investigators will randomize 200 to receive this intervention or usual care and follow them for 12 months.
