NovaTears® Eye Drops Observational Study NT-003
Dry Eye SyndromesThis observational study is intended to collect outcome data from a cohort of 30 patients suffering from dry eye disease due to chronic ocular Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD) who are treated with the medical device NovaTears® eye drops for a duration of 11 to 13 weeks.
Evaluation of Corneal Epithelial Thickness Mapping
Dry Eye and Contact Lens WearOptovue has developed a new feature for mapping corneal epithelial thickness. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the accuracy and repeatability of the epithelial thickness measurement. Consented subjects will undergo a series of cornea measurements using optical coherence tomography (OCT) that will be used for analysis.
Analysis of Cataract Surgery Induced Dry Eye
CataractThis is a retrospective study to determine if rates of osmolarity and dry eye disease symptoms increase following cataract surgery.
Assessment of Inflammatory and Functional Changes in the Ocular Surface Associated With Dry Eye...
Sjogren's SyndromeDry EyeThis project will examine the similarities and differences of the ocular surface and tear film in patients with Sjogren's syndrome related to dry eye, severe dry eye and those who do not have dry eye. This knowledge will help clinicians understand the processes that create these dry eye conditions and will strengthen the treatment and management strategies that will be used. The subjects will participate in a series of dry eye tests that they have already experienced in clinic, along with the gathering of tear samples and surface cells. These tissues will then be analyzed at a distant site.
Tear Dynamics After Restasis Treatment in Dry Eye Patients
Dry EyeObserve the changes of tear volume in dry eye patients after Restasis treatment of 3 months and during 6-month follow-up after discontinuation of study treatment.
Eye Drop Use in Glaucoma Patients Through Patient Surveys and Video Observations
GlaucomaDry Eye Syndrome1 moreThis study will be used to evaluate how patients put eye drops in their eyes and any problems that may arise from this activity. The information gathered will help identify common problems patients are having with putting in their eye medications. Then doctors can be better informed about the issues and provide better advice to their patients to overcome these problems.
Three Dimension Tomography of Eye Structures by White Light Imaging Device
Healthy SubjectsModerate to Severe Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS)1 moreThe purpose of this study is to investigate the ability of an imaging device, developed by AdOM Advanced Optical Technologies Ltd. ("AdOM"). The device allows a three-dimensional imaging of the ocular tissues, specifically the tear film layers and the retinal layers. The device is based on the use of white light. In this initial study, the device will be used to assess the tear film which coats the corneal surface in healthy subjects as well as in moderate-to-severe Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS) or Dry Eye Syndrome (DES). The ability of the device to assess the retinal layers will be evaluated in the second phase of the study.
Functional MRI Study of Cortical Modifications to Light Stimulation in Patients With Photophobia...
Dry Eye SyndromePhotophobiaPhotophobia is a common and disabling symptom in patient with dry eye syndrome. The aim of this study is tried to better understand this complain analyzing brain activation during a luminous stimulation to highlight modification of cortical activation.
Estrogen and the Outer Eye in Women During Fertility Treatment
Dry Eye SyndromesThe purpose of this study is to determine the relation between estrogen and progesterone levels, and between dryness of the eyes, in women during their fertile years.
Corneal Sensation and Incidence of Dry Eye Post Refractive Cataract Extraction With FemtoSecond...
CataractDry EyeThe study objective is to assess changes in corneal sensation and dry eye signs and symptoms following cataract extraction/femtosecond arcuate relaxing incisions. Our clinical hypothesis is to determine if a combination of cataract surgery and femtosecond arcuate relaxing incisions lead to a reduction in corneal sensation and the onset or worsening of dry eye signs and symptoms.
