Atopic dermatitis (AD; also known as atopic eczema) is an inflammatory skin disease. The safety and effectiveness of upadacitinib for AD has been well-documented in previous studies, however, these studies included a limited number of adolescent patients in Japan. Therefore, the purpose of this observational study is to evaluate safety and effectiveness of upadacitinib in adolescent AD participants age 12 to <18 years old in Japan in the real-world setting. Upadacitinib is an approved drug being developed for the treatment of AD in adolescents in Japan. Around 170 participants age 12 to <18 who are prescribed upadacitinib for the treatment of AD in routine clinical practice will be enrolled at multiple sites in Japan. Participants will receive oral upadacitinib as prescribed by their physician. Data from these participants will be collected for approximately 2 years. There will be no additional burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic and will be asked to provide additional information by questionnaire at each visit.

TARGET-DERM is a longitudinal, observational study of adult and pediatric patients being managed for Atopic Dermatitis and other Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Skin Conditions (IMISC) in usual clinical practice. TARGET-DERM will create a research registry of patients with IMISC within academic and community real-world practices in order to assess the safety and effectiveness of current and future therapies.

This regestry study is aimed to characterize the medical care and drug treatment under real-life conditions among Chinese patients with moderate to severe Atopic Dermatitis who are not well controlled by topical therapies.

Everybody's skin has bacteria that normally lives on it. Previous research has shown that people with eczema (or atopic dermatitis [AD]) have much higher concentrations of a certain bacteria (S. aureus), especially when their disease is active but little is known about the role that this bacteria plays in psoriasis (i.e. disease severity, biomarkers and skin barrier function). The overarching purpose of this longitudinal study is to understand how the abundance of skin S. aureus (and several commensal bacteria) change as a consequence of standard of care treatment in the URMC dermatology clinics. Other assays and biospecimens will also be collected to address a number of questions.

Objectives: The study subjects were 180 healthy people from the dermatology clinic of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and the surroundingcommunity, including 120 AD patients (60 in the ICBT treatment group and 60 in the control group) and 60 healthy controls. Methodology: After obtaining the informed consent of the subjects, the general condition and clinical symptoms of the subjects were assessed, the cognitive and psychological characteristics of the subjects who met the inclusion were assessed, multimodality MRI was scanned and blood and saliva samples were collected. The same assessments and data collection were performed with healthy controls matched for age, sex, and years of education in the AD patient group. AD patients were randomly assigned to the ICBT intervention group (n = 60) by a random number table and immediately started ICBT adjuvant therapy, or the control group (n = 60) for conventional therapy. Clinical symptoms and cognitive psychological characteristics of AD patients were assessed at the end of 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 6 months and 12 months of ICBT treatment, and cognitive behavioral task measurements, multimodality magnetic resonance scans, blood and saliva samples will be performed again at the follow-up time point at the end of 6 months. Healthy controls (60) will also undergo a full set of follow-up assessments again after 6 months.
