Efficacy of the Interferential Laser Therapy in Pain Reduction in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeNeuropathic PainThe purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of the interferential laser therapy in the wrist and hand pain and disability reduction and force improvement in the carpal tunnel syndrome. Subjects are patients diagnosed of carpal tunnel syndrome who have been prescribed laser therapy. Settings: Ramon y Cajal Hospital. Department of Rehabilitation. Physical therapy unit. Electrotherapy section. Occupational Therapy. Department of Neurology.
Hyperthermia As A Conservative Treatment For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. A Randomized "Sham" Controlled...
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThe purpose of this study is to verify the short-term effects of hyperthermia (HT) in pain relief and in functional impairment in patients affected by mild to moderate idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome. A single blind randomized sham-controlled trial was performed. A 23 patients were affected by idiopathic CTS, 11 of them were affected by bilateral CTS. the intervention consists of Hyperthermia device treatment, treated for 20 minutes per session, a total of 8 sessions. Primary outcome is pain (Visual analogic scale).
Acupuncture in Patients With Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ~ A Randomized Controlled Trial
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeTo investigate the efficacy of acupuncture compared with steroid treatment in patients with mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) as measured by objective changes in nerve conduction studies (NCS) and subjective symptoms assessment in a randomized, controlled study.
Clinical Validation of a Decompression Prototype Splint for Patients With Carpal Tunel Syndrome...
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeA multicentric randomized controlled trial has been designed to study the effects of a decompression prototype splint on symptoms, functional capacity and nerve conduction studies in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome.
Safety and Efficacy of Percutaneous Carpal Tunnel Release Versus Open Surgery
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeHypothesis: Percutaneous ambulatory carpal tunnel release offers similar outcomes to the open approach in the theatre. Study design: Two-groups randomized single-blind interventional non-inferiority clinical trial.
Cost Information on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment Decisions
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThe purpose of this study was to determine whether the provision of societal cost information affects patients' decisions whether or not to undergo surgical management in carpal tunnel syndrome, using a hypothetical scenario.
Prospective Randomized Trial of Monocryl Versus Nylon Suture Closure in Carpal Tunnel Surgery
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThe investigators will compare the early postoperative outcome of wound closure technique in carpal tunnel release using Nylon sutures versus subcuticular Monocryl sutures. The investigators plan to randomize patients across three hand surgeons who will perform both techniques, and will survey the patients satisfaction of pain and appearance at 2 and 6 weeks postoperatively.
PAVmed CarpX Device Clinical Study
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeTo study the safety and feasibility of the CarpX device to divide and release the transverse carpal ligament in order to provide relief for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS).
Evaluation of the Acute Effect of Kinesio Taping by Ultrasonography
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThe design of our study is a randomized, controlled, double-blind study. It is planned to be completed in twenty-four weeks with 34 participants. The main purpose of this study is to examine and compare the acute effects of two different kinesio tape applications on the carpal tunnel in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome by ultrasonographic method.
Effects of Upper Extremity Manual Lymphatic Drainage on Symptom Severity, Hand Functions, Electrophysiological...
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThis study is aimed to investigate the effects of upper extremity manual lymphatic drainage, which is applied to remove edema from the carpal tunnel region in addition to conventional exercise therapy in Carpal tunnel syndrome patients on findings of clinical, ultrasonographic, and electrophysiological.
