Comparison of RF and crYoballoon ablatiOn Therapy of AF(CRYO-AF)
Atrial FibrillationIt's a multi-center, prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial of cryoballoon versus radiofrequency ablation for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation in Heart Failure Patients
Atrial FibrillationSevere Heart FailureThe aim of the study is to evaluate the impact of cryoablation of atrial fibrillation in patients with severe chronic heart failure (CHF) on long term outcome of CHF and efficacy (endurance) of the procedure itself. The study hypothesis is that cryoablation in eligible patients with CHF and ICD/CRT (implantable cardioverter defibrillator / cardiac resynchronization therapy) implants reduce the number of recurrent CHF hospitalizations, mortality, need for mechanical support of LV (left ventricle) and heart transplant (primary endpoint) at 1 year observation in comparison to traditional (pharmacological) treatment..
Rate Control in Atrial Fibrillation
Atrial FibrillationThis study will evaluate the efficacy of metoprolol tartrate compared to carvedilol on heart rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation and a rapid ventricular rate.
Comparison of Two Strategies for the Management of Atrial Fibrillation After Cardiac Surgery
Atrial FibrillationCardiac SurgeryPostoperative atrial fibrillation is a common complication after cardiac surgery with a rate of 30%. However, management of postoperative atrial fibrillation is controversial. Two strategies are recommended : heart rate control using a betablocker or rhythm control with amiodarone. Landiolol is a new-generation beta-blocker with a short half-life, which was approved by the Haute Autorité de Santé to be used in perioperative supra-ventricular tachycardias. Only one study compared landiolol to amiodarone in the perioperative setting, with a better hemodynamic tolerance and a higher rate of conversion to sinus rhythm with landiolol. However this was a single-center and retrospective study. The aim of our multicenter randomized study is to compare the effectiveness of landiolol in reducing atrial fibrillation to sinus rhythm compared to amiodarone in the postoperative period after cardiac surgery.
Management of Device Detected AT and Impact of Device Treatment Algorithms on Atrial Fibrillation...
Cardiovascular DiseasesThe MANDATE-AF study was designed to address evidence needs in India for device-based management of AF using AT/AF (Atrial Tachycardia/Atrial fibrillation) diagnostic features and therapies such as Reactive Atrial anti tachycardia Pacing (rATP) within Medtronic Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED)and its impact on the time to persistent AF and progression of AT/AF.
Anticoagulation After RFCA
Atrial FibrillationThe anticoagulation therapy is needed when rhythm control strategy is applied in atrial fibrillation patients but adverse events such as major bleeding exist. This study aims to examine the prognostic inpact of the duration of anticoagulation after radiofrequency ablation of paroxismal atrial fibrillation in patients with low thromboembolic risk. Paroxismal atrial fibrillation patients with 0 or 1 CHADS2-Vasc score undergoing radiofrequency ablation is randomized into one month anticoagulation group and two months anticoagulation group after the procedure. Thromboembolic event and adverse event including major or minor bleeding would be compared.
Continuous Versus Discontinuous Design of Encircling Lesions During Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation...
Atrial FibrillationAcute efficacy of point-by-point radiofrequency ablation for pulmonary vein isolation in patients with atrial fibrillation are comparable independantly of the ablation strategy (continous versus discontinuous ablation) under the same condition of power delivery.
A Trial of Rivaroxaban Versus Warfarin in Dissolving Left Atrial Appendage Thrombus in Patients...
Atrial FibrillationLeft Atrial Appendage Thrombosis1 moreThe purpose of this clinical randomized trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rivaroxaban compared with warfarin in dissolving the LAA thrombus in patients with atrial fibrillation.
Esophageal Damage Protection During Pulmonary Vein Ablation. Pilot Study.
Atrial FibrillationCatheter Ablation4 moreCatheter ablation of atrial fibrillation with electrical isolation of the pulmonary veins in the left atrium carries risk of esophagus thermal lesion. EnsoETM is a device . This study evaluates the benefit of using the EnsoETM, a device device for esophageal temperature adjustments, during catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Half of participants will undergo esophageal temperature adjustment during pulmonary vein catheter ablation, while the other half will undergo catheter ablation with no esophageal temperature adjustment.
Feasibility Study to Improve AF Outcomes Using a Digital Application for CV Risk Reduction
Atrial FibrillationThe pilot portion of this study is to determine the feasibility of utilizing AF CARE to provide lifestyle modification support to patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The prospective, RCT portion of this study compare cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF), AF knowledge, AF Symptom Severity and Burden, and QOL between and within the wait list group and the AF CARE group at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months.
