Does Myomectomy for Intramural Fibroid Improve ART Outcome?

Fibroid Uterus

Intamural fibroids (myoma) do exist in some infertile women undergoing IVF treatment. There is controversy whether myomectomy before IVF treatment could improve IVF outcome. This trial will examine whether myomectomy in those patients could improve the results.

The Use of Shear Wave Elastography, Transvaginal Ultrasound and Pelvic MRI in the Diagnosis of Adenomyosis...

AdenomyosisElastography2 more

In this prospective cohort study, the patients who were diagnosed with either uterine fibroid (control group) or adenomyosis (study group), were examined with transvaginal ultrasound and shear wave elastography. Definitive diagnosis was established by pelvic MRI. Shear wave elastography data of both groups were compared. Features of adenomyosis on transvaginal ultrasound were also recorded for study group.

A Multicenter Prospective Non-Interventional Study Assessing the Management of Canadian Women With...

Leiomyoma

This study will characterize the treatments and outcomes associated with different uterine fibroid treatments in Canada, to understand patients' preferences and satisfaction with different medical and procedural interventions. The study will also assess the effectiveness of ulipristal acetate (Fibristal®) in controlling bleeding, reducing fibroid volume and symptoms, and improvement in patient's quality of life.

Comparing Patient-Centered Outcomes After Treatment for Uterine Fibroids

Uterine Fibroids

The purpose of this observational, retrospective database study of patients with uterine fibroids is to compare the durability of symptom relief after uterus-conserving treatments for symptomatic fibroids in terms of incidence of, and time to, new or recurrent symptoms and subsequent procedures and evaluate the effect stakeholder participation had on the research process.

Myomectomy Operation and Fundus Incision, Energy Modalities and Methods of Extraction

Myoma;UterusSurgery

Myomectomy operation due to myoma uteri is an operation that can cause serious blood loss. For some anatomical reasons, fundal myomas were removed, while a group of investigators recommended the initiation of a longitudinal incision and some surgeons preferred a transverse incision. the authors aim to show some surgical differences, intraoperative blood loss, and difficulties and ease of removal of myoma in patients with these approaches without consensus. It is also noted that the incision made with the same energy modality is recorded; The effect of energy modality on blood loss and surgical comfort will be examined. Different approaches are used for laparoscopic surgical operations in order to remove myoma from the abdomen. It can be removed from the vagina by colpotomy and can also be minimized in the abdomen by a morselator. In particular, patients with vaginal myoma removed, such as complaints of postoperative dyspareunia will be followed. In this way, the investigators aim to evaluate the methods which have not yet gained clarity in the literature or have not proven superiority to each other.

Effect of Dexmedetomidine on Stress Study of Pituitrin in Laparoscopic Hysteromyoma Surgery

Hysteromyoma

This study is about the effect of dexmedetomidine to the stress of pituitrin in laparoscopic hysteromyoma surgery. It is well known that pituitrin has been widespread used in the laparoscopic hysteromyoma surgery. Pituitrin includes oxytocin and vasopressin. Vasopressin increase body stress reaction through hypothalamic pituitary adrenal(HPA) axis. The HPA axis has has main role to the body stress reaction. Dexmedetomidine can inhibit the stress responses mediated by the sympathetic nervous system. Therefore, the effect of dexmedetomidine to the stress of pituitrin in laparoscopic hysteromyoma surgery is worth to be studied.
