Uterine fibroids (UFs), also called uterine leiomyomas or myomas, are steroid hormone-responsive, benign tumors of the smooth muscle compartment (myometrium) of the uterus. They are the most common neoplasm affecting women in their reproductive age. It is estimated that up to 77% of women develop UF in their life. UFs are one of the leading causes of hospitalisations for gynaecological disorders and are the most frequent reason for hysterectomy. According to relevant literature, 40%-60% of all the hysterectomies performed are due to the presence of UFs.

WE DECIDED TO COMPARE TWO DIFFERENT ELECTROSURGERY DEVİCES TO PROVIDE COLPOTOMY. ONE OF THEM İS MONOPOLAR HOOC, THE OTHER DEVİCE İS PLASMAKİNETİC BİPOLAR SPATULA. WE WİLL RANDOMİSE PATİENTS FİRSTLY THEN COMPARE THE RESULTS SUCH, VAGİNAL DEHİSSENS, COLPOTOMY DURATİON, AMOUNT OF MIST DURING COLPOTOMY, AMOUNT OF BLEEDİNG.

The aim is to verify, whether intraoperative temporary clipping of the uterine vessels with vascular clips can reduce blood loss significantly.

The overall goal of this project is to better enable patients with uterine fibroids (UF) to make informed decisions about treatment options by leveraging the highest possible evidence of healthcare quality. The foundation of this project will be a multi-site, prospective registry of a diverse group of women who have undergone either medical or surgical treatment for UF. Specifically, the investigators are interested in: comparing management options for symptom relief; comparing management options for preserving reproductive function; and comparing effectiveness among different subpopulations, including consideration of patient needs and preferences of treatment options.

The investigators analyzed a group of infertile women treated with Ulipristal Acetate (UA) for uterine fibroids at the Humanitas Fertility Center. All the patients' data were extracted from the Fertility Center external-audit-anonymized electronic research query system.

The purpose of this study is to learn how uterine fibroids may be connected to heart disease and high blood pressure. It is not known what causes fibroids, but they frequently occur in women who also have high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. The investigators of this study want to learn if certain changes in the blood vessels or nerve activity can put women at risk for these diseases and for fibroids.

Leiomyomas are the most common benign neoplasms of women's reproductive system affecting 20-30% of women within the reproductive ages. Sestrins are serum proteins which are highly expressed under circumstances of DNA damage, hypoxia and oxditive stress and play an important role in autophagia. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship of serum sestrin proteins with development of leiomyomas.

This study will evaluate the safety, efficacy , quality of life and patient satisfaction of uterine artery embolization for the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids. It will provide useful information in the development od guidelines in patient selection, procedural management and subsequent follow up.

This research is planned as a randomised double-blind controlled trial. interventions to reduce haemorrhage during laparoscopic myomectomy for fiboids is important. İntraoperative Tranexamic acid usage can reduce haemorrhage and related symptoms when given during laparoscopic myomectomy. There is no randomised controlled trials in literature about tranexamic acid usage in laparoscopic gynecological operations.

Women with at least one uterine leiomyoma and polycystic ovary syndrome over 10 mm and women with normal ultrasonographic findings were included in the study. Blood samples were taken for biochemical analysis such as vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), hemoglobin (hb), hematocrit (htc), platelet (plt), and albumin. The study groups were compared in terms of these biochemical markers and family history of patients, daily sunshine hours, clothing preferences and education level.
