Vertebral Compression Fracture

The overall purpose of conducting this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of V-Flex and V-Steady for augmentation of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and to verify that adding a cement softener into a PMMA bone cement is comparable to a PMMA bone cement alone (V-Steady).

Vertebral Compression FractureCompression Fracture1 more

This is a multicenter, single-blinded, randomized controlled clinical trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of the AGN1 LOEP SV Kit for the treatment of painful vertebral compression fragility fractures (VCFs). The objective of this study is to demonstrate non-inferiority of the AGN1 LOEP SV Kit for the treatment of VCFs to standard of care vertebroplasty treatment using bipedicular injection of PMMA bone cement.

Metastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the SpineMetastatic Malignant Solid Neoplasm

This randomized phase II trial studies how well cement augmentation works in preventing vertebral body compression fracture following spine stereotactic radiosurgery in patients with solid tumors that have spread to the spine. Spine stereotactic radiosurgery delivers a high dose of radiation to vertebral metastases and can sometimes lead to a vertebral compression fracture. Using body cement on the largest part of the vertebra (a procedure called vertebral body cement augmentation) may help prevent a fracture after stereotactic spinal radiosurgery. It may also lessen pain and improve quality of life in patients with solid tumors and spinal metastases undergoing this surgery.

Percutaneous Vertebral-disc Plasty for Thoracolumbar Very Severe Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression...

Osteoporotic Fracture of Vertebra

Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes and radiological parameters of patients undergoing percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) versus those undergoing percutaneous vertebral-disc plasty (PVDP) for back pain, segmental instability, and kyphosis due to thoracolumbar very severe osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (vsOVCFs). This prospective study included elderly patients with thoracolumbar vsOVCFs. All the patients were randomly allocated into the PVP group (who underwent conventional PVP) and the PVDP group (who underwent PVP combined percutaneous cement discoplasty). The visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), local kyphosis angle, and disc height were recorded preoperatively and postoperatively.

Vertebral Compression FractureKorean Traditional Medicine2 more

The purpose of this study is to reveal the effectiveness and safety of integrative Korean medicine for Acute Vertebral Compression Fracture in-patients by observing inpatients treated with integrative Korean medicine. This study is a retrospective observational study. The subjects for study are patients diagnosed with Acute Vertebral Compression Fracture and who have been admitted to four Jaseng Hospital of Korean medicine (Gangnam, Bucheon, Daejeon, and Haeundae) for 2016.04.01-2022.06.30. Medical records of selected patients will be analyzed, and telephone surveys will be conducted for each patient. The survey questions are Numeric ratinc scale (NRS), Oswestry Disability Index(ODI), quality of life, and Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC), etc.

BKPOsteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture2 more

This study is a multicenter, prospective, double-blind, randomized controlled trial using a parallel two-arm design to investigate whether the postoperative 6-month quality of life, vertebral stability, complication of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (Kummell's disease) are better with the use of stent screw internal fixation and percutaneous bone cement reconstruction technique compared to patients undergoing traditional percutaneous balloon kyphoplasty (BKP) for vertebral augmentation
