Ketogenic diet being started early in those with status epilepticus and frequent or abundant discharges in EEG in comparison to just standard therapy is being evaluated here for efficacy and adverse effects.

This study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational product (IP), intravenous (IV) ganaxolone, to treat participants with status epilepticus (SE).

This study aims to assess the efficacy of Epidiolex in patients with ESES. ESES is characterized by sleep potentiated spikes with a spike index greater than 85% (conventional definition) and 50% (new definition)1. Several drugs including: steroids, intravenous Gama globulin, Clobazam, other benzodiazepines, Valproic acid, and other anti-epileptic drugs have been tried with mixed benefits2,3. Cannabidiol (CBD) would provide a novel mechanism of action to assess for its efficacy in this population. This will be a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover clinical trial.

This study is designed to optimize the dosing regimen and evaluate the preliminary safety and efficacy of Intravenous (IV) ganaxolone as adjuvant therapy for participants with ESE receiving initial IV antiepileptic drug (AED) according to currently practiced standard of care (SOC). The study will be composed of 2 phases: an initial, open-label, dose optimization phase followed by IV ganaxolone versus placebo double-blind phase.

The purpose of the study is to assess the success of a single administration of Staccato alprazolam compared with placebo both in rapidly terminating a seizure episode within 90 seconds and with no recurrence of seizure(s) up to 2 hours after investigational medicinal product (IMP) administration.

This study aims to investigate the efficacy of add-on exogenous ketone esters for the treatment of children with refractory generalized convulsive status epilepticus

Generalized convulsive status epilepticus (GCSE) is a common neurological emergency in children. Benzodiazepines are the recommended first line antiseizure medication (ASMs), but they fail to control seizures in a third of cases. Combination of benzodiazepines with another ASM that has a different mechanism of action may be a promising option for faster control of GCSE. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ketamine plus midazolam versus midazolam alone as first-line therapy of pediatric GCSE.

RESTORE is a randomized clinical trial investigating the safety and feasibility of using EEG treatment targets (burst suppression vs. seizure suppression) for post-cardiac arrest refractory status epilepticus treatment.

This open-label, randomized multicenter trial aims at clarifying the standard of care of patients with non-convulsive status epilepticus not responding to treatment with benzodiazepines and at least one high-dose intra venous anti-seizure medication.
