Female Reproductive System NeoplasmMalignant Female Reproductive System Neoplasm5 more

This trial determines how well eHealth mindful movement and breathing works to improve outcomes in participants undergoing gynecologic surgery. Supportive therapy, such as eHealth mindful movement and breathing, uses techniques that include gentle movements, breathing, and relaxation techniques which may help participants cope with and improve their surgical experiences.

Survivorship Care in Reducing Symptoms in Young Adult Cancer Survivors

Breast CarcinomaCancer Survivor11 more

This randomized clinical trial studies survivorship care in reducing symptoms in young adult cancer survivors. Survivorship care programs that identify the needs of young adult cancer survivors and ways to support them through the years after treatment may help reduce symptoms, such as pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, depression, and distress, in young adult cancer survivors.

Efficacy of Two Antiemetic Regimens in Patients Receiving Radiotherapy and Concomitant Weekly Cisplatin...

NauseaVomiting2 more

GAND-emesis is a multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to investigate the efficacy and tolerability of a neurokinin1 receptor antagonist (fosaprepitant dimeglumine) in combination with an antiemetic (anti-nausea-and-vomiting) control regimen (palonosetron and dexamethasone) in patients with a gynaecological cancer diagnosis, who are scheduled to receive radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy. The study aims at investigating if a three-drug antiemetic regimen is superior to a two-drug regimen (standard treatment) in preventing nausea and vomiting in patients receiving radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy. A pilot study demonstrated that approximately 50% of patients will experience nausea and vomiting when offered a two-drug antiemetic regimen, and it is expected that addition of a third drug (a neurokinin1 receptor antagonist) can increase the proportion of patients with no vomiting in the course of combined chemo-radiotherapy.

Impact of Preoperative Counseling and Education in Reducing Anxiety Levels in Patients With Gynecologic...

Anxiety Disorders

The surgical procedure can be considered a transition in the patient's life. The transition can generate instability and produce negative effects, which may be temporary or permanent. Failure to prepare people to deal with the unexpected, such as diagnosing a disease, such as cancer, and surgical necessity can be a frightening and frustrating experience, developing painful and distressing feelings, involving their family members as well.

Effects of Therapeutic Touch in Patients With Female Genital Neoplasia: a Randomized Controlled...

Quality of LifeGynecologic Neoplasm4 more

This is a randomized controlled prospective study on the use of therapeutic touch in patients diagnosed with gynecological cancer. The patients will be randomized into three groups: control group (will not receive any interventions with therapeutic touch), placebo group (will receive simulated therapeutic touch intervention by individual not knowing this technique) and treatment group(will receive therapeutic touch intervention by a trained therapeutic touch therapist). Two different quality of life questionnaires will be applied (before and after treatment). Levels of cortisol, salivary IgA, hematological indices and telomerase activity before and after the use of therapeutic touch will be compared between groups.

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Gynecology Oncology

Malignant Female Reproductive System Neoplasm

The aim of this study is to compare outcomes of conventional perioperative care with those of an enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) perioperative care plan in women undergoing open abdominal surgery for gynecologic cancer or suspected gynecologic cancer. Investigators hypothesize that those patients randomized to the ERAS protocol will have shorter lengths of hospital stay, without increasing readmission rates. ASD

A Study of Pembrolizumab on the Tumoral Immunoprofile of Gynecologic Cancers

Gynecologic NeoplasmsEpithelial Ovarian Cancer3 more

The ultimate goal of the study is to identify potential biomarkers, immune gene expression signatures, and co-stimulatory pathways that may be used to understand the effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors on gynecologic cancers.

Postoperative Analgesic Efficacy of Continuous Wound Infusion After Laparoscopy

Benign Gynecologic Neoplasm

Studies evaluating the effectiveness of continuous wound infusion (CWI) to manage postoperative pain following laparoscopy are markedly lacking. Especially, there was no study comparing CWI and placebo in treating gynecologic laparoscopy. Therefore, the investigators conducted this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to investigate whether CWI of local anesthetics was an effective strategy for enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), compared with placebo in patients undergoing benign gynecologic laparoscopy.

Efficacy and Safety of Niraparib Combined With Bevacizumab in Platinum Refractory/Resistant Recurrent...

Ovarian NeoplasmsFallopian Tube Neoplasms26 more

Niraparib is an oral, potent and highly selective PARP1/2 inhibitor. It can be used as a single drug in HRD positive ovarian cancer patients for multi-line therapy. Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits tumor angiogenesis and is also recommended for the treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer. Clinical studies showed that niraparib combined with bevacizumab could significantly prolong progression free survival of platinum sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer. We intend to conduct a single-arm, prospective, open-label, phase II study to observe the efficacy and safety of niraparib combined with bevacizumab in the treatment of FIGO III/IV platinum refractory/resistant ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer and primary peritoneal cancer. The results are expected to provide more effective and precise treatment for platinum resistant recurrent/refractory ovarian cancer patients.
