Pembrolizumab With Intratumoral Injection of Clostridium Novyi-NT
Malignant Neoplasm of BreastMalignant Neoplasms of Digestive Organs10 moreSome tumors are difficult to treat with chemotherapy or radiation. One of the reasons is that areas of the tumor do not have many blood vessels, which makes it difficult for drugs to reach those areas. One way that researchers have recently tried to overcome this problem is by injecting special kinds of bacteria into the tumors. These bacteria have been genetically changed to remove the chemicals that are poisonous to humans, but are still able to cause tumor cells to break down and die. The idea is that these bacteria may be able to assist chemotherapy drugs in fighting cancer. The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of one of these bacterial therapies (Clostridium novyi-NT spores) that can be given in combination with pembrolizumab to patients with advanced solid tumors. The safety of this drug will also be studied, as well as whether it can help to control the disease. This is an investigational study. Clostridium novyi-NT is not FDA approved or commercially available. It is currently being used for research purposes only. Pembrolizumab is FDA approved for the treatment of melanoma and different types of head and neck and non-small cell lung cancers. It is investigational to use these drugs in combination with each other in various types of advanced cancers. The study doctor can describe how the study drugs are designed to work. Up to 18 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
Study of Aerosol Gemcitabine in Patients With Solid Tumors and Pulmonary Metastases
Malignant Neoplasm of Bone and Articular CartilageMalignant Neoplasms of Female Genital Organs8 moreAny time the words "you," "your," "I," or "me" appear, it is meant to apply to the potential participant. The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of gemcitabine that can be given by inhalation (breathing it as a mist) to patients with solid tumors that have spread to the lungs from other parts of the body. The safety and side effects of this drug will also be studied. This is an investigational study. Gemcitabine is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of pancreatic and lung cancer, and other solid tumors. Its administration by inhalation is investigational. The study doctor can explain how the study drug is designed to work. Up to 44 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
Donor Natural Killer Cells, Cyclophosphamide, and Etoposide in Treating Children and Young Adults...
Recurrent Cutaneous MelanomaRecurrent Lip and Oral Cavity Carcinoma26 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of cord blood-derived expanded allogeneic natural killer cells (donor natural killer [NK] cells) and how well they work when given together with cyclophosphamide and etoposide in treating children and young adults with solid tumors that have come back (relapsed) or that do not respond to treatment (refractory). NK cells, white blood cells important to the immune system, are donated/collected from cord blood collected at birth from healthy babies and grown in the lab. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving NK cells together with cyclophosphamide and etoposide may work better in treating children and young adults with solid tumors.

Prostatic NeoplasmsGenital Neoplasms6 moreThis phase II study will investigate the activity and safety of radionuclide 177Lu-PSMA therapy versus 177Lu-PSMA in combination with Ipilimumab and Nivolumab in patients with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).

Advanced Solid TumorsCRPC8 moreThis is a Phase 1/2, open-label, multi-center, non-randomized, dose-escalation study to be conducted in two parts: the Dose Escalation Phase and the Dose Expansion Phase. The Dose Escalation Phase will determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) and recommended Phase 2 dose(s) (RP2D) of PT-112 Injection and evaluate its safety and tolerability, and PK (pharmacokinetics). The Dose Escalation Phase is complete and no longer enrolling. The Dose Expansion Phase has two cohorts: one cohort for the study of PT-112 in patients with thymoma and thymic carcinoma (Cohort A), and one cohort for the study of PT-112 in metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) (Cohort D).
High Resolution, 18F-PSMA PET-MRI Before Prostate Cancer HIFU or Radical Prostatectomy
Prostatic NeoplasmsGenital Neoplasms7 moreThis prospective trial aims to determine if enhanced prostate imaging using two novel imaging technologies (high resolution DWI and 18F-PSMA PET-MRI) will detect prostate cancers not seen on standard multiparametric prostate MRI in patients considered candidates for focal HIFU.

Bevacizumab and Temsirolimus Alone or in Combination With Valproic Acid or Cetuximab in Treating...
Advanced Malignant NeoplasmCastleman Disease37 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of bevacizumab and temsirolimus alone or in combination with valproic acid or cetuximab in treating patients with a malignancy that has spread to other places in the body or other disease that is not cancerous. Immunotherapy with bevacizumab and cetuximab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as valproic acid, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether bevacizumab and temsirolimus work better when given alone or with valproic acid or cetuximab in treating patients with a malignancy or other disease that is not cancerous.
Selumetinib and Olaparib in Solid Tumors
Malignant Neoplasm of BreastMalignant Neoplasms of Digestive Organs3 moreThis study has 2 phases: Phase 1 (dose escalation) and Phase 2 (dose expansion). The goal of Phase 1 of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose combination of selumetinib and olaparib that can be given to patients who have solid tumors that are advanced or recurrent (has returned after treatment). The goal of Phase 2 is to learn if the highest tolerable dose combination found in Phase 1 can help to control advanced or recurrent solid tumors. The safety of the study drug combination will also be studied in both parts. This is an investigational study. Selumetinib is not FDA approved or commercially available. It is currently being used for research purposes only. Olaparib is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of ovarian cancer that has a certain type of genetic mutation (change). It is considered investigational to use selumetinib in combination with olaparib to treat advanced or recurrent cancer. The study doctor can explain how the study drugs are designed to work. Up to 90 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
