The purpose of this study is to compare three-year outcomes of re-trabeculectomy with those of Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation in secondary surgical management of patients with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) and a history of previous failed trabeculectomy.

Unreliability and visual field variability is a known problem with automated perimetry in both developing and developed country settings. This study will look at the effects of a computer program that allows new patients to practice the visual field exam before taking the actual exam. Our hypothesis is that the intervention group will have less variability as measured by mean deviation between exams and greater reliability as measured by the standard unreliability indexes of false positive rate, false negative rate, and fixation losses.

Approximately 70 million people world-wide are affected with glaucoma, of whom 6.7 million have bilateral blindness.5 Elevated intro-ocular pressure is the major modifiable risk factor in glaucoma, and reducing intraocular pressure to a consistently low level can delay disease progression and therefore, blindness.6 Topical intraocular pressure -lowering medication remains the first-line treatment for glaucoma, with surgical intervention playing a secondary role in cases suboptimally controlled with medication alone. In this study, we plan to assess the change in tear proteins in trabeculectomy patients before and after operations. It is hoped that this study could help us gain more understanding of the possible mechanism accounting for the development of dry eye disease in glaucoma patients, which could help us develop better screening modalities and therapeutic agents for glaucoma patients at risk to prevent the development of dry eye disease.

This is a retrospective chart review of cases in which the CyPass Micro-Stent was implanted using the Model 241 Applier. The objective of this study is to characterize and evaluate the safety of the Model 241 Applier when used for CyPass Micro-Stent implantation.

A. To evaluate the ocular hypotensive efficacy of the rho-kinase Inhibitor (AR-12286 0.5% and 0.7%) ophthalmic solutions in open-angle glaucoma patients with uncontrolled IOP who are facing surgical intervention. Patients will be treated for 6 months in this initial trial. B. To evaluate the efficacy of AR-12286 in enabling treated patients to delay or avoid the necessity of surgical intervention.

A study of Lumigan® 0.01% as administered in standard practice for patients with POAG or OHT. All treatment decisions, care and diagnostic procedures provided are at the discretion of the participating physicians according to their clinical judgment and the local standard of medical care.

The study aims to evaluate the quality of life (QoL) of patients affected by Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma (POAG), using 2 QoL questionnaires: Glaucoma Symptom Scale (GSS) and National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI-VFQ -25). The study will be conducted on patients with well known diagnosis of POAG (transversal phase) and on patients with first diagnosis of POAG (longitudinal phase).

This study examines patient perceptions regarding the tolerability of two classes of glaucoma medication: bimatoprost and latanoprost.

To analyze Cosopt® in terms of its effects on ocular perfusion pressure and comprehensive ocular blood flow and in relation to visual field progression and optic nerve structural changes in an ongoing 3 year prospective study involving 120 patients with open angle glaucoma.

The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the relationship between IOP fluctuation, RGC dysfunction, and optic nerve and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness changes in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension receiving latanoprost 0.005% versus placebo.
