Comparing SD-tVEP and PERG Tests Between Patients With Glaucoma, Patients With High Eye Pressure...
GlaucomaWills Eye Hospital Glaucoma Research Center will conduct a 1-year prospective study to assess the ability of a Short Duration Transient Visual Evoked Potential (SD- tVEP) and a Steady-State Pattern electro-retinogram (PERG) vision testing system to detect visual dysfunction in patients with ocular hypertension. The study aims to assess the reversibility of retinal ganglion cell (RGC) dysfunction after administering intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering treatment. The investigators hypothesize that SD-tVEP and PERG testing will help develop better treatment for glaucoma patients by increasing understanding of the physiological relationship of IOP and RGC in glaucomatous injury.
Comparison of Gonioscopy With Cirrus and Visante
Open Angle GlaucomaNarrow Angles1 moreThe aim of this study is to analyze similarities and evaluate interchangeability of Visante and Cirrus OCT (optical coherent tomography)and to compare agreement between gonioscopy and the two systems for evaluation of anterior segment parameters.
Astigmatism Post-trabeculectomy
GlaucomaThe aim of this project: Confirming the modification in corneal astigmatism after trabeculectomy with MMC and intracameral administration of bevacizumab. Medium-term follow up (6 months) of the induced corneal astigmatism. Investigating correlations between postoperative astigmatism, particularly with the postoperative IOP.
Quality of Life in Children Glaucoma and Cataract
Paediatrics With CataractsPaediatrics With GlaucomaThe management of childhood glaucoma (CG), childhood cataract (CC) and other birth defects affecting the eyes requires frequent hospital attendances and often multiple surgical and medical interventions, and are often associated with poor vision. Chronic medical conditions and vision impairment can affect quality of life (QoL). The QoL of children with the above conditions has not previously been evaluated.
Biomechanical Changes After Trabeculectomy
GlaucomaPrimaryCorneal biomechanics are studied in glaucoma patients prior and at least 6 month after trabeculectomy.
A Study of Intraocular Pressure (IOP) Reduction in Newly Diagnosed Patients With Primary Open Angle...
GlaucomaOpen-Angle1 moreThis is an observational study and will evaluate IOP reduction in newly diagnosed patients with POAG or OHT. All care (including treatment and diagnostic procedures) provided is at the discretion of the participating physicians according to their clinical judgment and the local standard of medical care.
A Study of the Rate of Progression of Glaucoma During a Follow-up Period of Two Years
GlaucomaOpen-AngleThis is an epidemiological, non-interventional, prospective study to collect data on glaucoma progression in a routine setting. Patients may receive treatment at the discretion of their physician per local standard of care.
Study Comparing Quantitative Assessments in Open-angle Glaucoma (OAG) and/or Ocular Hypertension...
GlaucomaOpen-Angle1 moreThis study will evaluate assessments from the Goniometric Lens compared with those from anterior segment imaging in patients with open-angle glaucoma (OAG) and/or ocular hypertension (OHT).
Relationship Between Central Corneal Thickness and Intraocular Pressure Measures Instruments.
GlaucomaGlaucoma3 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between intraocular pressure and central corneal thickness using various instruments in ocular hypertension, normal-tension glaucoma, primary open angle glaucoma, keratoconus and normal eyes.
