Normative Database of the Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Measured by the Cirrus HD OCT in Asians...

Glaucoma

The normal range of retinal nerve fiber layer thickness might be different between Asians and Caucasians. However, the recently developed imaging device such as the Cirrus HD OCT includes only the Caucasian data. So, the investigators want to find its normal range of in Asians.

Artificial Intelligence Screening on Patients With Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma

Ophthalmopathy

The Tomey CASIA (Tomey Corporation, Nagoya, Japan) is a novel rapid imaging device that captures high-quality imaging of the entire anterior chamber of the eye over detailed imaging of a single section. In this prospective study, we want to investigate and compare the anatomical structure of the drainage angle of the eye in patients with different types glaucoma using Tomey machine. This study gives us a better understanding of the predictability, validity and accuracy of Tomey machine in the diagnosis of different types of glaucoma. Moreover, the data collected here will be used to create an artificial intelligence (AI) platform to screen certain type of glaucoma.

Diagnostic Performance of Deep Learning for Angle Closure

Angle Closure Glaucoma

Primary angle closure diseases (PACD) are commonly seen in Asia. In clinical practice, gonioscopy is the gold standard for angle width classification in PACD patietns. However, gonioscopy is a contact examination and needs a long learning curve. Anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) is a non-contact test which can obtain three dimensional images of the anterior segment within seconds. Therefore, the investigators designed the study to verify if AS-OCT based deep learning algorithm is able to detect the PACD subjects diagnosed by gonioscopy.

Effect of Antihypertensive Drugs on Glaucoma Patients

Glaucoma

It has been reported that among Asian non-glaucomatous, antihypertensive medications were associated with retinal nerve fiber layer and ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness. In order to explore whether antihypertensive medications would influence the neuropathy among glaucomatous population, we designed a cross-sectional observational study to analyze the retinal status among glaucoma patients with use of antihypertensive medication.

Vitreous Detachment and Glaucoma Progression

GlaucomaPosterior Vitreous Detachment

Posterior vitreous detachment is a common event. With optical coherence tomography, the investigators can precisely follow the stage of posterior vitrous detachment. In this study, the investigators investigate if the loss of contact between the vitreous and the fovea is the start of glaucoma progression.

Reproducibility of RNFL Circle Scans With ART-Function of Heidelberg Spectralis SD-OCT Software...

Glaucoma Patients and Healthy Controls

To assess the improvement in reproducibility of 100 vs. 16 averaged images by Automatic Real Time (ART) using Spectralis™ Spectral Domain-Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT, Heidelberg Engineering GmbH, Heidelberg, Germany) in retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFL) circle scan-measurements. Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Measurement on Parapapillary Atrophy With the Cirrus High-Definition...

Glaucoma

Retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness measurement on the parapapillary atrophy is incorrect. Because a new spectral domain OCT, the Cirrus HD OCT, uses a movable circle to analyze the RNFL thickness, we may suggest a new analysis strategy for the parapapillary atrophy.

Efficacy of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL) / Retinal Thickness Ratio by Cirrus OCT Utilizing Spectral...

GlaucomaMyopia

Glaucoma is presumed to be an axonal disease which starts at the lamina cribrosa. This assumption has led to the monitoring of the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness for the diagnosis and monitoring of progression of glaucoma. However, varying disc size, myopia and tilted discs affect the thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer. This study aims to ascertain the ration of the retinal nerve fiber layer against full retina as a predictor of glaucoma diagnosis and progression.
