Phase 3 Study of MAP0004 in Adult Migraineurs
Migraine DisordersThis is a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, parallel group study of MAP0004 in adult migraineurs. Subjects will self administer study drug in the outpatient setting.
A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Eptinezumab for the Prevention of Migraine in Participants...
MigraineEvaluation of eptinezumab in the prevention of migraine in participants with unsuccessful prior preventive treatments.
Efficacy of Inhaled Cannabis for Acute Migraine Treatment
MigraineCannabis2 moreThis crossover study will evaluate 3 different treatments of vaporized cannabis (THC, THC/CBD mix, and CBD) and vaporized placebo cannabis for the acute treatment of migraine.
A Study of Galcanezumab (LY2951742) in Adult Participants With Episodic Migraine
MigraineEpisodic MigraineThe purpose of this study is to assess whether galcanezumab is superior to rimegepant in the prevention of migraine in participants with episodic migraine. The study duration will be approximately 6 months.
How Can we Treat Photophobia in Migraine
Migraine DisordersPhotophobiaPhotophobia, the aberrantly increased sensitivity to light, is a common symptom in migraine patients and light discomfort is frequently found as a trigger for migraine attacks. In behavioral studies, planned exposure to light was found to reduce headache in migraineurs with photophobia, potentially by increasing habituation to this migraine trigger. Here, neurophysiological mechanisms of light exposure versus light deprivation therapy in migraine patients are investigated using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Migraine patients and healthy controls receive light exposure therapy (Flash) and light deprivation therapy (Dark) for one hour daily on 7 consecutive days, in a crossover design with a wash-out period of three months. Study participants keep a diary including items on interictal and ictal photophobia, headache frequency and severity 7 days before, during, and 7 days after the interventions. One week before and one day after both interventions, fMRI using flickering light in a block design is applied. Functional activation is analyzed at whole-brain level and habituation of the visual cortex (V1) is modeled with the initial amplitude estimate and the corrected habituation slope.
Nutritional Intervention in Migraine
MigraineMigraine is a common medical condition. Several studies suggest that obesity and/or weight gain are risk factors for aggravating migraine course, especially increase the frequency of headache episodes. The aim of the current study was to evaluate whether nutritional intervention would be able to improve clinical parameters (as assessed by MIDAS and HIT) of patients with migraine.
The MOTS (Medication Overuse Treatment Strategy) Trial
MigraineThere are two commonly used treatment strategies for treating patients who have chronic migraine with medication overuse. This study will compare the outcomes amongst patients randomized to one of the two treatment strategies.
RCT of Non-Invasive Vagus Nerve Stimulation (nVNS) With gammaCore®, for the Acute Treatment of Migraine...
MigraineThis study is a prospective, multi-centre, randomised, double-blind, sham-controlled investigation designed for comparison of two parallel treatment groups: gammaCore (active nVNS treatment) and a Sham device (control treatment), for the acute treatment of migraine attacks
Tertiary Care With or Without Manual Therapy for Chronic Migraine
Chronic MigraineThe aim of this study is to determine if adding manual therapy to care as usual reduces the discomfort from chronic migraine compared to care as usual alone
Drug and Non-Drug Treatment Of Severe Migraine
Migraine HeadacheThe purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of preventive medication, behavior migraine management or the combination of preventive medication and behavior migraine management improves the outcome of optimal acute therapy for frequent migraines.
