Safety and Immunogenicity of a Booster Dose of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Biologicals' Hepatitis B Vaccine...
Hepatitis BIn this study, subjects who received primary neonatal vaccination with hepatitis B vaccine at 0, 1, 2, 12 months, 20 years ago in the 103860/272 primary study will be evaluated for immunological memory to hepatitis B vaccine via assessment of the response to a vaccine challenge dose.

An Hepatitis B Vaccine Model for HIV Vaccine Trials in Drug Users
Hepatitis B InfectionHepatitis C Infection1 moreThe goal of the proposed study is to use the HBV vaccine as a model for a future HIV vaccine trial, examining the efficacy of community-based outreach intervention as well as an accelerated vaccine schedule as a method for increasing acceptance/adherence with HBV vaccination protocols among not-in-treatment drug users. This study will also examine the effect of HBV vaccination coupled with community-based outreach intervention on reducing the incidence of HIV, HBV and HCV infections and the frequency of needle use and sexual risk behaviors related to these viral transmissions. A secondary purpose will be to assess the antibody response after HBV vaccination as a measurement of immunological response in drug users.

Efficacy Study of Combined Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B Vaccine to Protect Against Hepatitis B in...
Hepatitis BDoes vaccinating hemodialysis patients with Twinrix® (combination vaccine against hepatitis A and hepatitis B) result in a difference in hepatitis B antibody response in comparison to the monovalent hepatitis B vaccine? Hepatitis B infection is an important cause of mortality and morbidity. Current standard vaccination practices have low efficacy levels in patients (eg. hemodialysis patients) who are most susceptible of infection. Efficacy of the two regiments will be studied.

Hepatitis BHepatitis ATo evaluate the persistence of immune response 5 years and 6 years after the first vaccine dose.

Hepatitis B Vaccination (HBV) in HIV Infected Children
HIV InfectionsThe purpose of this study is : To evaluate prevalence of protective hepatitis B antibody comparing intradermal (ID) and intramuscular (IM) route in antiHbsAb negative HIV infected children treated with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) To revaccinate the HBV vaccine in the children who didn't have protective HBV Ab

Challenge Dose of Hepatitis B Vaccine in Subjects Who Previously Received Engerix™-B Vaccine
Hepatitis BTo evaluate the response to an additional dose (challenge dose) of hepatitis B vaccine, when given to subjects who had received primary vaccination of Engerix™-B vaccine approximately 72-78 months ago. This protocol posting deals with objectives & outcome measures of the challenge phase. The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, Sep 2007.

Immunogenicity Study of Antibody Persistence and Booster Effect of DTaP-HB-PRP~T Combined Vaccine...
DiphtheriaTetanus3 moreThe present trial is a follow-up of AL203 study (NCT00343889). Primary Objectives: To describe the antibody persistence at 15 to 18 months of age and the booster effect of a dose of DTaP-HB-PRP~T or Tritanrix-HepB/Hib™ (given concomitantly with Oral Polio Vaccine [OPV]). Secondary Objective: To describe the safety profile of a booster dose of DTaP-HB-PRP~T or Tritanrix-HepB/Hib™ when administered concomitantly with OPV in each vaccine group.
