Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Versus Trans-Arterial Chemoembolization (TACE) as Bridge...
Hepatocellular CarcinomaHCCThis study will compare stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to trans-arterial chemoembolization (TACE) as a bridging strategy for patients with HCC undergoing orthotopic liver transplantation. We propose that SBRT will be associated with longer time intervals between initial treatment and the need for retreatment, compared to TACE, as a "bridge" to orthotopic liver transplantation.

Preoperative Pain Control in Liver Surgery Patients
PainPostoperative1 morePregabalin 150mg or placebo are administered 1 hour preoperatively in patients undergoing partial hepatectomy. Postoperatively, patients receive morphine as rescue analgesic. Morphine consumption in the first 48 hours is documented. Postoperative pain is measured by the visual analogue scale (VAS) score.

De Novo Sirolimus-based Immunosuppression After Liver Transplantation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma...
Liver CarcinomaThis study investigates whether sirolimus could decrease the rate of hepatoma recurrence after liver transplantation in high risk hepatoma patients.

Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) With Blocking Tumor...
Hepatocellular CarcinomaAccording to radiology imaging, the patients of HCC are divided into two groups(hypovascular tumor group and moderately vascular tumor group). Every group is divided into TACE therapy with balloon catheter subgroup and regular TACE therapy subgroup. Patients take the TACE therapy each 45 days, and have MRI diffusion examine or CT one week before next therapy. All objects are observed until the end event happening or in the group for 6 months.

Radiolabeled Glass Beads Used for Treating Patients With Primary Liver Cancer When Surgery is Not...
Liver CancerHepatomaFewer than 15% of hepatoma patients are suitable candidates for surgical removal of their cancer. The purpose of this protocol is to provide supervised access at Oregon Health and Science University to Y-90 treatment to provide these patients access to an alternate therapy. The radioactive beads are placed directly near or into the liver tumor with the intention of destroying the tumor cells.

Ph 2 Trial of ADI PEG 20 Plus Concurrent Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Vs TACE Alone in...
Unresectable Hepatocellular CarcinomaCertain cancers require the amino acid arginine. Arginine deiminase (ADI) is an enzyme from microbes that degrade arginine. ADI has been formulated with polyethylene glycol and has been used to treat patients that have cancers that require arginine. In this study, the investigators will evaluate the response rate, as determined by the revised International Working Group recommendations.

Extracellular RNA Markers of Liver Disease and Cancer
Hepatocellular CarcinomaBiliary Tract Cancer2 moreThe study will examine and evaluate the use of extracellular RNA in blood as markers for the diagnosis of liver disease or cancer, and as markers for prediction of response to treatment or recurrence of cancer after surgery

Standard Treatments of Very-early Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular CarcinomaVery-early StageThe aim of our study was to elucidate the difference in the rates of complication, hospitalization days, medical expenses, MRI showed that the degree of tumor necrosis, and overall survival rates of the therapies between PEI, MVA and RFA, and make the standard for minimally invasive treatment of very early stage HCC.

Hepatocellular CarcinomaA clinical trial to compare the pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence of BR2008 with BR2008-1 in healthy volunteers

Resection for Multiple Hepatocellular Carcinomas (HCC)
Hepatocellular CarcinomaMultiple Tumors1 moreSurgical resection in patients with multiple hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) remains controversial. The aim of this study was to investigate the outcome of a consecutive cohort of patients resected for multiple HCC, without macrovascular invasion, in order to identify clinically reliable parameters to select patients for surgery.
