Outcome of Specific IgE Level in Children With IgE-mediated Wheat Allergy After Stop Using Wheat...

Wheat AllergyChildren

Wheat allergy is increasing in Thailand. Some studies show that cutaneous exposure of allergen may cause allergy and there are many wheat containing skin care products that are over-the-counter. So the purpose of our study is to determine level of specific immunoglobulin E antibodies to wheat and omega-5 gliadin in wheat allergy patients after stop using wheat containing skin care products.

Relevance of Sensitization to Fenugreek in Children

Allergy to Fenugreek

The prevalence of allergy to legumes is inscreasing, especially in children and for some of these legumes, little is known and there are not included in the list of priority allergen. The overall goal of this study is to improve knowledge about fenugreek allergy. The principal aim is to evaluate the prevalence of allergy to fenugreek confirmed by a positive oral food challenge in children sensitized to fenugreek. The secondary objectives are to describe the case of allergy to fenugreek (co-allergies, severity, age..), to evaluate diagnostic values of skin prick-tests and specific IgE and to compare the molecular profile of specific IgE to peanut between sensitization to fenugreek without allergy and sensitization with a confirmed allergy

Sensitivity of Pharmacokinetics to Differences in Particle Size Distribution of Suspension-based...

Hypersensitivity

Currently FDA does not accept pharmacokinetic studies to show bioequivalence of locally-acting nasal suspension formulations. However, bioequivalence is defined as the absence of significant differences in pharmacokinetics of therapeutically equivalent drug products compared to the matching originally invented drug formulation. These there-called "generic drugs" are then interchangeable. Drug companies have to show that their generic version has the same active ingredient, the same label, is intended to be used for the same conditions or diseases and works at the same rate in the body. The aim of the study is to determine if pharmacokinetics is sensitive to differences in the particle size distribution of two different nasal suspension formulations of mometasone furoate during charcoal block. The result from this study will aid the FDA in finding methods to ensure that generic products are the same as the trade name drugs.

The Effect of Naloxone and Methylnaltrexone on Esophageal Sensitivity in Health

Endogenous and Esophageal Sensitivity

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of naloxone (IV or IM administration) and methylnaltrexone (subcutaneous administration) on esophageal sensitivity, in a group of healthy volunteers in order to evaluate the role of endogenous opiods in symptom perception in gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Esophageal sensitivity was assessed by using a multimodal esophageal stimulation protocol where sensitivity to thermal, mechanical, electrical and chemical stimulation was tested.
