Pulmonary Hypertension in Haemodialysis Patients :Frequency and Risk Factors
Pulmonary HypertensionHigh mortality rates due to cardiovascular disease in end-stage renal disease patients been described by epidemiological and clinical studies. It accounts for approximately 50 percent of deaths in dialysis patients. Although controversial, this may be due to the presence of excess vascular calcification particularly in the form of extensive coronary artery calcification which can be observed even in very young dialysis patients. It was suggested that abnormalities of the right ventricular function in patients with end-stage renal disease were largely due to pulmonary hypertension which usually develops secondary to pulmonary artery calcifications.

Protocol for a Multicentre Survey of Patients With Treatment Resistant Hypertension
Treatment Resistant HypertensionProject aims to determine the number of individuals with treatment resistant hypertension and to define the characteristics of these patients and estimate disease frequency. The study will be a retrospective review of medical record data based upon de-identified information and will require no patient contact.

Automated Measurement of Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter
Traumatic Brain InjuryAcute Brain Injuries1 moreOptic Nerve Ultrasound (ONUS) is a promising non-invasive tool for the detection of raised Intracranial Pressure (ICP). Variability in the optimal Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter (ONSD) threshold corresponding to elevated ICP in multiple studies limits the value of ONUS in clinical practice. The investigators goal is to develop and validate an automated image analysis algorithm for standardization of ONSD measurement from ultrasound videos. Patients with acute brain injury requiring invasive ICP monitoring will undergo bedside ONUS, with blinded ONSD measurement by an expert investigator. The image analysis algorithm will then be used to measure ONSD and accuracy determined compared to the "reference standard" expert measurement.

Right Ventricular Metabolism in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionHealthyThe purpose of this study is to use non-invasive imaging to determine the metabolic phenotype of the right ventricle in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension across a spectrum of disease severity.

Health in Childhood Following Assisted Reproductive Technology
ARTIVF3 moreThe purpose of this trial is to investigate the metabolic and cardiovascular health in children aged 6-8 years born after in-vitro fertilization with frozen embryo transfer

Interactions Between Antihypertensive Drugs and Drugs Prescribed in the Emergency Room
Drug InteractionsHypertensionDrug interactions (IFF) are events that occur when multiple drugs are administered at the same time to an individual. People with arterial hypertension generally require therapeutic regimens based on 2 or more drugs for their adequate control, which makes them patients with polypharmacy. When these patients require urgent medical attention, there is a risk that IFFs will occur between their base treatment and the drugs that are prescribed to solve the added condition. Objective. To determine the frequency of pharmacological interactions between antihypertensive regimens and drugs used in the emergency service of Hospital General de Zona No 51 (HGZ 51). Material and methods: Observational, descriptive, and prospective study. The participants will be eligible patients with systemic arterial hypertension treated in the emergency room of HGZ 51 in Gómez Palacio, Durango. Support systems will be used for clinical decision, to identify potential IFFs and to be able to classify them according to their mechanism (pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics) and severity. A descriptive statistical analysis will be carried out in the SPSS program using measures of frequency, dispersion and central tendency.

Dual Arterial Phase Liver CT in Patients With Suspected Portal Hypertension
HCCCirrhosis1 morePatients with liver cirrhosis is at risk of developing HCC. To diagnose or detect HCC at CT/MRI, optimal late arterial phase (LAP) acquisition is critical to capture the tumor. For LAP acquisition, bolus-tracking is often used at CT. In patients with portal hypertension, however, bolus-tracking occasionally capture early arterial phase which may be related with slow portomesenteric flow. In this study, we obtain dual arterial phase in patients with suspected portal hypertension and determine whether this protocol (dual arterial phase) would provide higher incidence of LAP acquisition than single arterial phase acquisition.

Study on the Current Situation and Related Factors of Hypertension Management in a Poor County in...
HypertensionThis project aims to understand the current situation of hypertension management in a poor county in Shanxi Province, and explore the factors that affect patients' blood pressure control based on local reality, and provide a basis for further promoting the standardized management of hypertension in poor areas and the comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases at the national grassroots level.

Possibilities of Perceiving Information on the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases in...
PreventionArterial HypertensionA randomized, prospective study conducted on the basis of a social network (Instagram platform), two-stage. At the first stage, the online school "Save Your Heart" was announced and 945 applicants were enrolled in the training. The online school curriculum consisted of the following blocks: "Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD)", "Healthy Nutrition for the Heart", "Cholesterol. What is important for the patient to know? "," Physical activity for the prevention of CVD "," Overweight and obesity "," Smoking as a risk factor for CVD "," AH: diagnosis "," AH: treatment "," Myocardial infarction: diagnosis and treatment". At the 2nd stage, 125 participants were selected by random randomization, then distributed into 4 training groups to provide training materials: group 1 (n = 31) - then text publications up to 4 thousand characters, group 2 (n = 31) - short video clips up to 5 minutes, group 3 (n = 33) - first text publications, then video clips, group 4 (n = 30) - video clips, then text publications. Before and after school, respondents from all four groups completed the HDKQ questionnaire.
