Intra-tracheal Intubation

REMICrush is a French multicentric non inferiority simple blind randomized clinical trial that will compare the use of Remifentanil to muscle relaxant (reference treatment) for anesthetic rapid sequence intubation in terms of major complications (difficult intubation, gastric liquid aspiration, desaturation, hemodynamics reaction, ventricular arrhythmia, anaphylactic reaction).

Fentanyl and Propofol for Tracheal Intubation During Sevoflurane Induction Without Muscle Relaxants...

Anesthesia Intubation Complication

Several methods have been proposed to improve intubating conditions and minimize sevoflurane induction time during sevoflurane induction in children. These include clonidine premedication, [5] addition of nitrous oxide, [6] opioids, [7,8] or propofol [9]. Four Studies evaluated sevoflurane alone for intubation (9-12).Aim of this study: is to evaluate the effects of two different dose of propofol preceded by a fixed dose of fentanyl during sevoflurane induction on quality of tracheal intubation in children undergoing elective surgery.

Comparison of Two Induction Regimens Using Topical Lidocaine or Muscle Relaxant on Sore Throat and...

Intubation Complication

When a surgical procedure is performed under general anesthesia, the Airways are often secured With an endotracheal tube. Some patients experience sore throat thereafter. Studies have shown a reduction of these side effects when by use of muscle relaxants or a lidocain spray prior to the intubation. At Ostfold Hospital Trust, the investigators use one of the two methods or nothing. These methods will be studied systematically. Heart rate and blood pressure rise during the intubation procedure. The investigators will also study the differences between the groups.

Effectiveness of Sugammadex on Muscle Relaxant Reversal in Preterm Neonates

Sugammadex

The primary aim of the work is to compare the efficacy of Sugammadex and neostigmine in reversing rocuronium-induced muscle relaxation to reach complete recovery of neuromuscular block (TOF ratio≥ 0.9) in preterm neonates. The secondary aim is to evaluate the safety of using Sugammadex in preterm neonates and to detect any complications that may occur in this age group.

Sulfamethoxazole for the Treatment of Primary PREPL Deficiency

Hypotonia Cystinuria SyndromeIsolated PREPL Deficiency

The investigators will evaluate whether sulfamethoxazole, a sulfamide antibiotic, improves the symptoms of primary PREPL deficiency (hypotonia-cystinuria syndrome and isolated PREPL deficiency).

PainPostoperative

This is a prospective, cluster-randomized, two-arm, comparative study aimed at determining whether addition of tizanidine ( an oral muscle relaxant) to a multimodal pain regimen following primary TKA reduces opioid consumption.

Laryngeal Injuries After Anesthesia Induction With Three Different Sevoflurane Concentrations (Without...

Other Specified Injuries of Vocal CordSequela

Anesthesia induction and tracheal intubation can be performed with and without neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs). Tracheal intubation can be performed with sevoflurane instead of NMBAs; intubating conditions are similar and the incidence of vocal cord injuries are similar, too.

Pharmacists may also logistically serve as ideal health-care destinations to implement and deliver prevention, early intervention, and referral of oral health services to reduce the incidence of potentially preventable oral conditions including tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer. Interprofessional teamwork between pharmacist and dentistry may help to encourage pharmacists to take a more active role in promoting oral health. By providing information and assistance for self-care and the use of over the counter (OTC) products for minor problems on oral health, it can provide better patient care in the Malaysian health-care system

This observational study was designed to prove clinical efficacy of the well known "glycopyrrolate" which is considered an orphan drug in Thailand. Since the medication has never been officially used in Thai people and this particular brand "Glyco-P" which was made in India has never been officially proven of its efficacy in Thai people. The study was aimed to prove if this Glyco-P can modestly increase patient's heart rate, decrease secretion and safely used in combination with neostigmine for reversal of non-depo muscle relaxant drugs.
