Sutured Versus Cyanoacrylate Glue Mesh Fixation for Inguinal Hernia Repair
Inguinal HerniaBecause it avoids direct nerve irritation or entrapment, mesh fixation with tissue adhesive glue seems an optimal option to reduce postoperative pain. Indeed, preliminary results published with different glues all showed promising results with reduced postoperative pain. This randomized controlled study aimed to compare mesh fixation using N-butyl 2-cyanoacrylate with classical suture fixation in Lichtenstein hernia repair in terms of chronic groin pain, postoperative complications, operative time and recurrence.
Normal and Small Size Mesh in Open Inguinal Herni Repair
General SurgeryInguinal Hernia1 moreRecent years, lots of treatment teqnique have development. We aimed that comparising the normal and small size meshes in the inguinal hernia patients.
Neurectomy Vs Nerve Sparing in Open Inguinal Hernia Repair
Inguinal HerniaIt is a randomized controlled trial in which we are treating inguinal hernia patients with mesh hernioplasty and either neurectomy of iliohypogastric nerve and ilioinguinal neurectomy or preservation comparing post operative acute or chronic pain
Biomechanically Compatible,Minimally Invasive Technique for Recurrence Free Groin Hernia Repair...
Inguinal Hernia"A bio-mechanically compatible, minimally invasive technique for recurrence-free groin hernia repair by implantation of Tensiflex mesh prosthesis for the enhancement of the tissue tensile strength of the fascia transversalis."
Dynamic Scaffold Versus Lichtenstein Open Hernioplasty.
Inguinal HerniaEvaluating the outcomes of patients undergoing open anterior inguinal hernioplasty comparing two different techniques: Lichtenstein/plug and mesh and ProFlor. The outcomes of these two groups of patients, respectively the Lichtenstein inguinal hernia repair with static flat mesh and the defect obliteration with 3D dynamic scaffold Proflor, are compared in respect to defined variables along stages: intraoperative, early and long term postoperative.
Impacts of Stoppa and Total Extraperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair on the Lower Extremity Muscular...
HerniaInguinalComparison of physical activity parameters of the lower extremity muscles in patients who received total extraperitoneal repair (TEP) and STOPPA repair.
Long-term Follow-up of Lichtenstein's Operation Versus Mesh Plug Repair
Inguinal HerniaLong-term follow-up of a randomized clinical trial of Lichtenstein's operation versus mesh plug for inguinal hernia repair based on the following published study "Randomized clinical trial of Lichtenstein's operation versus mesh plug for inguinal hernia repair. Br J Surg. 2007 Jan;94(1):36-41." Primary endpoints is recurrence.
Comparison of Mesh Fixation Wit Cyanoacrylate vs Suture in Inguinal Hernia Surgery
Chronic PainTo compare fixation with glubran2 with suture during surgery por primary inguinal hernia. Hypothesis: Glue may induce less complications and chronic pain than suture
Randomized Controlled Study Comparing Three Different Techniques for Open Hernia Repair
Inguinal HerniaThe primary aim is to evaluate if PSH and/or ultrapro mesch reduces chronic groin pain postoperatively compared to lichtenstein mesh. The second aim is to evaluate quality of life, recovery from surgery and frequency of recurrencies in the three groups
Fibrin Glue Versus Tacked Fixation in Groin Hernia Repair (TAPP)
Inguinal HerniaFemoral HerniaIn this study the researchers want to compare fibrin glue versus tacked fixation in fixation of the mesh in laparoscopic groin hernia repair. The primary endpoints are early pain in the first 3 days postoperative days. Moreover, the researchers investigate general well-being, fatigue, seroma, haematoma, postoperative nausea and vomiting. Thirdly, they are investigating chronic pain and clinical recurrence.
