Everolimus and Imatinib Mesylate in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Kidney Cancer...
Kidney CancerRATIONALE: Everolimus and imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Everolimus may also block blood flow to the tumor. Giving everolimus together with imatinib mesylate may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving everolimus together with imatinib mesylate works in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable kidney cancer.
Sunitinib as First-Line Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced Metastatic Papillary...
Kidney CancerRATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works as first-line therapy in treating patients with locally advanced or metastatic papillary renal cell (kidney) cancer.
High-dose Bevacizumab in Advanced Renal Carcinoma Patients
Renal CancerKidney CancerThis trial will examine the effectiveness and the side effects of 2 higher dosing schedules of bevacizumab in patients that have advanced clear cell renal carcinoma.
Sunitinib in Treating Patients With Locally Recurrent or Metastatic Kidney Cancer
Kidney CancerRATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works in treating patients with locally recurrent or metastatic kidney cancer.
Zoledronate With Atorvastatin in Renal Cell Carcinoma
Kidney CancerRenal Cell CarcinomaObjectives: Primary: Evaluate clinical outcome based on the time to skeletal events after bone-targeted therapy Secondary: Evaluate clinical outcome based on the presence of calcification at the site of osteolytic metastases Measure bone-formation and resorption markers at baseline and during bone-targeted therapy. Assess effect of the bone-targeted regimen on serum cholesterol levels
A Clinical Trial Comparing Efficacy And Safety Of Sunitinib Versus Placebo For TheTreatment Of Patients...
Kidney NeoplasmsTo compare the disease free survival time and safety of sunitinib with placebo in adjuvant treatment patients at high risk of recurrent kidney cancer after surgery.
Dosing and Effectiveness Study of Sorafenib and RAD001 in the Treatment of Patients With Advanced...
Kidney CancerThis study is being done in 2 parts. The first part is to determine the dose of RAD001 that should be used in combination with sorafenib. The second part is using the above determined dose of RAD001 in combination with sorafenib to see how effective these 2 drugs are against advanced kidney cancer. Participants will be asked to keep a pill diary.
Interferon Alfa (IFN-Alpha-1b) in Renal Cancer With Metastatic Kidney Cancer
Kidney CancerRATIONALE: Interferon alfa may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of kidney cancer. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well interferon alfa works in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.
Donor Bone Marrow Transplant in Treating Young Patients With Cancer or a Non-Cancerous Disease
Kidney CancerLeukemia4 moreRATIONALE: A bone marrow transplant from a brother or sister may be able to replace blood-forming cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Colony-stimulating factors, such as G-CSF, cause the body to make blood cells. Giving G-CSF to the donor may help the body make more stem cells that can be collected for bone marrow transplant and may cause fewer side effects in the patient after the transplant. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects of donor bone marrow transplant and to see how well it works in treating young patients with cancer or a non-cancerous disease.
17-N-Allylamino-17-Demethoxygeldanamycin in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer
Kidney CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin works in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.
