"Cataract Surgery in Eyes With Epiretinal Membrane"

Epiretinal MembranePseudophakic Cystoid Macular Edema2 more

The purpose of the study is to evaluate retinal thickness change and the occurrence of central structural retinal changes after uneventful small-incision cataract surgery in eyes with asymptomatic early stages of epiretinal membrane.

Evaluation of Central Macular Thickness in Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery

Age Related CataractsCystoid Macular Edema

The investigational device is an approved femtosecond laser (FSL) device with an integrated imaging system to perform certain steps of the cataract procedure. The FSL will perform anterior capsulotomy and lens fragmentation in individuals suffering from age-related cataract with need of cataract surgery. Cataract surgery will be performed in subjects who have signed an informed consent form. Macula thickness will be measured with Spectralis OCT on screening date. Postoperative examinations will be implemented in accordance with the approved investigational plan on subjects and includes: visual acuity, slitlamp examination, retinal oct imaging and quantitative autofluorescence.

Risk Assessment for Progression to DMEK Following Cataract Surgery in Fuchs Endothelial Corneal...

Fuchs' Endothelial DystrophyCataract

Justification. Fuchs' corneal endothelial dystrophy (FECD) is one of the main causes of corneal transplantation. In many cases, the corneal decompensation derived from this dystrophy is triggered as a consequence of cataract surgery, so the dilemma of facing isolated cataract surgery or combined with endothelial keratoplasty is often raised. Objective. The present study aims to evaluate and select the most important predictive factors for corneal decompensation after cataract surgery in patients with FECD. Method. Prospective observational study of the preoperative and intraoperative variables presumably associated with postoperative corneal edema requiring Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK). Consecutive candidates for cataract surgery with FECD will be selected and anterior segment imaging will be performed, along with a complete ophthalmological examination. Clinical, pachymetric, tmographic, densitometric, specular microscopy, and intraoperative variables will be registered.

Crystalline Lens Tilt Evaluation Using Swept-source Optical Coherence Tomography

Cataract Surgery

The goal of this retrospective study is to quantify the physiological lens tilt of the phakic eye. The main question it aims to answer is: -What influence does misalignment or tilting of IOLs have on visual quality? Preoperative biometry data are compared with anterior segement OCT data. Measurements were obtained using high-resolution swept-source optical coherence tomography. The influence of biometric measurements on tilt is analyzed.

Astigmatism Correction With Intrastromal Arcuate Incisions in Eyes Undergoing Cataract Surgery With...

CataractAstigmatism

This is an observational, prospective follow-up post-marketing study of CE marked medical devices aimed at treating astigmatism in patients with cataracts. The main objective is to evaluate the response of the intrastromal arcuate incisions procedure for the correction of low corneal astigmatism with the Catalys femtosecond laser using the Cassini Ambient equipment with iris registration in cataract surgery.

Visual and Refractive Outcomes of a New Diffractive Trifocal Toric Intraocular Lens

Cataract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the visual performance and refractive predictability with the diffractive toric Finevision POD FT IOL. Predicted and achieved visual outcomes, visual performance at near, intermediate and far distance as well as photic phenomena, rotational stability and spectacle independence will be investigated. The follow-up period is 3 months after which vision and refraction should have stabilized.
