Safety and Efficacy Study of Trabectedin for the Treatment of Localized Myxoid / Round Cell Liposarcoma...

Liposarcoma,Myxoid

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of trabectedin for the treatment of localized (non-metastatic) myxoid / round cell liposarcoma (malignant tumor derived from primitive or embryonal lipoblastic cells).

Study of AP23573/MK-8669 (Ridaforolimus), A Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) Inhibitor, in Participants...

LeiomyosarcomaLiposarcoma4 more

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of ridaforolimus when administered once daily for 5 consecutive days (QDx5) every two weeks in participants with advanced sarcoma.

Depsipeptide (Romidepsin) in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Soft Tissue Sarcoma...

Adult Alveolar Soft-part SarcomaAdult Angiosarcoma18 more

This phase II trial studies how well depsipeptide (romidepsin) works in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable soft tissue sarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as depsipeptide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.

Nivolumab With or Without Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Sarcoma That Cannot Be...

Locally Advanced Bone SarcomaLocally Advanced Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma19 more

This randomized phase II trial studies how well nivolumab with or without ipilimumab works in treating patients with sarcoma that has spread from the primary site to other parts of the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether nivolumab works better with or without ipilimumab in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable sarcoma.

Pazopanib Hydrochloride and Topotecan Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Metastatic Soft Tissue...

Adult LiposarcomaMetastatic Liposarcoma5 more

The purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if pazopanib when given in combination with topotecan can help to control sarcomas. The safety of this drug combination will also be studied. Pazopanib hydrochloride and topotecan hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Efficacy Study on Trabectedin in Retroperitoneal Leiomyosarcoma and Well Differentiated/Dedifferentiated...

LiposarcomaLeiomyosarcoma

This is an Italian, multicentre, single arm, phase II study, with an intra-patient comparison end point. This study aims at confirming the activity of the drug trabectedin as second/further line treatment in retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma and well differentiated/dedifferentiated liposarcoma expressed in terms of slowing down tumour growth. Another objective is to investigate this peculiar benefit of trabectedin in typical retroperitoneal sarcomas may be exploited to help multidisciplinary clinical decision-making in the management of retroperitoneal sarcomas

Liposarcoma

This phase II trial studies how well efatutazone dihydrochloride works in treating patients with previously treated myxoid liposarcoma that cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as efatutazone dihydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.

Gemcitabine With or Without Pazopanib in Treating Patients With Refractory Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Adult Alveolar Soft Part SarcomaAdult Angiosarcoma17 more

This randomized phase II trial studies how well gemcitabine hydrochloride works with or without pazopanib hydrochloride in treating patients with refractory soft tissue sarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Pazopanib hydrochloride may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It is not yet known whether gemcitabine hydrochloride is more effective with or without pazopanib hydrochloride in treating patients with soft tissue sarcoma.

Study of Pazopanib in the Treatment of Surgically Unresectable or Metastatic Liposarcoma

LiposarcomaSurgically Unresectable Liposarcoma1 more

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of single agent pazopanib in subjects with unresectable or metastatic liposarcoma.

Bevacizumab and Radiation Therapy for Sarcomas

Soft Tissue SarcomaFibrous Histiocytoma4 more

The main purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of bevacizumab in combination with radiation therapy to see what effects (good or bad) they have on patients with soft tissue sarcoma. Bevacizumab is an antibody designed specifically to slow or stop the growth of cancerous tumors by decreasing the blood supply to the tumor. Bevacizumab is approved by the FDA in combination with intravenous 5-fluorouracil-based chemotherapy as a treatment for patients with cancer of the colon or rectum that has spread. However, the use of bevacizumab in combination with radiation for sarcomas is still under investigation.
