The Effect of Prometheus (R) Liver Support Dialysis on Cerebral Metabolism in Acute Liver Failure...
Acute Liver FailureHepatic Encephalopathy1 moreThe main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of Prometheus liver support dialysis on intracranial pressure, cerebral metabolism and circulation in patients with acute liver failure.
Hypothermia to Prevent High Intracranial Pressure in Patients With Acute Liver Failure
Acute Liver FailureIntracranial HypertensionTreatment options in patients with high intracranial pressure due to acute liver failure are limited. This study intends to evaluate the effect of prophylactic hypothermia on preventing high intracranial pressure and compromised cerebral oxidative metabolism.
A Pharmacokinetic Study to Assess Nevirapine [Viramune] Levels in HIV Infected Patients With Impaired...
HIV InfectionsHepatic InsufficiencyThe objective of this study was to evaluate the steady-state clearance of nevirapine among HIV-1 positive patients with hepatic fibrosis, and to examine whether the degree of hepatic impairment influences clearance.
A Study to Test How BI 1015550 is Taken up in the Blood of People With and Without Liver Problems...
Hepatic InsufficiencyThis study is open to adults aged 18 years and older. People without liver problems and people who have mild or moderate liver problems can join the study. The purpose of this study is to find out how a medicine called BI 1015550 is taken up in the blood of people with and without liver problems. Liver problems may change how a medicine is taken up in the blood. Participants are in the study for about 2 weeks. During this time, they visit the study site 6 times. On the second visit, participants stay overnight at the study site for 4 nights. At the visits, doctors take blood samples to measure the levels of BI 1015550 in participants' blood. Then they compare the results between the groups of participants with and without liver problems. The doctors also check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
A Study of Ipatasertib in Participants With Mild, Moderate or Severe Hepatic Impairment Compared...
Hepatic InsufficiencyThis is a Phase 1 study evaluating the pharmacokinetics, tolerability and safety of a single dose of ipatasertib in participants with mild, moderate or severe hepatic impairment compared to healthy participants.
Intravenous Branched Chain Amino Acids for Hepatic Encephalopathy in ACLF
Hepatic EncephalopathyAcute-On-Chronic Liver FailureThis study analyses the effect of intravenous branched chain amino acids (BCAA) on overt HE in patients with ACLF. The investigators plan to study the efficacy of combining intravenous BCAA with lactulose versus lactulose alone in the medical management of overt HE in patients with ACLF and its impact on overall survival and improvement in grade of HE.
Pharmacokinetics Of Jaktinib In Subjects With Hepatic Impairment And Normal Hepatic Function
Hepatic InsufficiencyHealthy SubjectsThis multi-center, open-label, parallel-controlled, single-dose Phase 1 study is being conducted to directly characterize the pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles and safety of Jaktinib following administration of a single oral dose in subjects with varying degrees of hepatic impairment compared to healthy matched control subjects with normal hepatic function(matched by age, weight, and sex).
A Study to Evaluate the Effect of Hepatic Insufficiency on the Pharmacokinetics (PK) of ACP-196...
Hepatic InsufficiencyThe study will evaluate the influence of hepatic insufficiency on the PK of ACP-196.
Effects on Plasma Exchange on Functional Capacity of Serum Albumin, Circulatory Dysfunction, Renal...
Liver CirrhosisLiver FailureThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects on plasma exchange with 5% albumin on albumin functional capacity, cardiocirculatory, renal and cerebral function in cirrhotic patients with "acute-on-chronic liver failure".
Study Examining The Effect Of Hepatic Impairment On Safety, Toleration And How The Body Processes...
ObesityHepatic InsufficiencyCP-945,598 is eliminated following extensive metabolism. Decrease hepatic function can affect its elimination from the body via metabolism. This study will therefore compare the pharmacokinetics (time course of drug concentrations in the body), safety, and tolerability of CP-945,598 in patients with mild and moderate hepatic impairment and healthy control subjects.
