Yttrium Y 90 SMT 487 in Treating Patients With Refractory or Recurrent Cancer
Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsBreast Cancer6 moreRATIONALE: Radiolabeled drugs such as yttrium Y 90 SMT 487 can locate tumor cells and deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of yttrium Y 90 SMT 487 in treating patients who have refractory or recurrent cancer.
Radiation Therapy in Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Who Have Undergone Stem Cell...
LymphomaRATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. It is not yet known if giving radiation therapy after stem cell transplantation is more effective than stem cell transplantation alone in treating relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating patients who have relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and have undergone autologous stem cell transplantation.
Paclitaxel and Estramustine in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma...
LymphomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining paclitaxel and estramustine in treating patients who have relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Tipifarnib in Treating Patients With Advanced Hematologic Cancer
Chronic Myeloproliferative DisordersLeukemia3 moreRandomized phase I trial to study the effectiveness of tipifarnib in treating patients who have advanced hematologic cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
Filgrastim and Chemotherapy Followed by Peripheral Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With...
LymphomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplant may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more cancer cells. Colony-stimulating factors such as filgrastim may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help a person's immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving filgrastim together with chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplant works in treating patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Phenylbutyrate Plus Azacitidine in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Myelodysplasia,...
LeukemiaLung Cancer4 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of phenylbutyrate plus azacitidine in treating patients who have acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplasia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, non-small cell lung cancer, or prostate cancer.
Bone Marrow Transplantation in Treating Patients With Hematologic Cancer
LeukemiaLymphoma2 moreRATIONALE: Bone marrow transplantation may be able to replace immune cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy and radiation therapy used to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of bone marrow transplantation in treating patients who have hematologic cancer.
Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
LymphomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known which regimen of combination chemotherapy is most effective for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying two regimens of combination chemotherapy and comparing how well they work in treating patients with aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Rebeccamycin Analogue in Treating Children With Solid Tumors or Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsLymphoma5 morePhase II trial to study the effectiveness of rebeccamycin analogue in treating children who have solid tumors or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
Rituximab & Combination Chemotherapy Followed by Transplantation in Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin's...
LymphomaRATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies such as rituximab can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation or bone marrow transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of rituximab and combination chemotherapy followed by bone marrow or peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
