Vorinostat and Decitabine in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors or Relapsed or Refractory...
Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) AbnormalitiesAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Inv(16)(p13;q22)50 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of vorinostat when given together with decitabine in treating patients with advanced solid tumors or relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphocytic leukemia, or chronic myelogenous leukemia. Vorinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as decitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving vorinostat together with decitabine may kill more cancer cells.
Vorinostat in Treating Patients With Low-Grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Extranodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma of Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid TissueNodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma5 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well vorinostat works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vorinostat, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Vorinostat may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Rituximab and Chemotherapy Followed by Ibritumomab Tiuxetan as Treatment for Low Grade Follicular...
Non-Hodgkins LymphomaIn this trial, we will evaluate the feasibility, toxicity, and effectiveness ibritumomab tiuxetan, when incorporated into combination first-line treatment for follicular lymphoma. Addition of the ibritumomab tiuxetan to our previously evaluated, well tolerated combination of rituximab and short course chemotherapy will allow the use of additional active agent with a unique mechanism of cytotoxicity. In addition, "debulking" of lymphoma prior to 90Y Zevalin administration may minimize the myelotoxicity of this agent.
Combination Chemotherapy and Rituximab With Pegfilgrastim Followed by Rituximab, in Large B-Cell...
Non-Hodgkins LymphomaThe purposes of this trial are to decrease toxicity and improve treatment effectiveness elderly patients. With a short course of chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, mitoxantrone, vincristine, and prednisone with concurrent administration of rituximab it is likely to be as effective as longer programs, and will certainly be better tolerated by this patient group. The addition of maintenance therapy may result in substantial prolongation of remission duration.
Ifosfamide/Carboplatin/Etoposide/Rituxan Followed by Zevalin in Relapsed/Refractory Intermediate...
Non-Hodgkins LymphomaIn this Multicenter trial, we will evaluate the feasibility, toxicity, and efficacy of treatment with 90Y Zevalin following a short course of salvage chemotherapy in patients with relapsed/refractory intermediate grade B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Study of Weekly Motexafin Gadolinium (MGd) for Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or Small...
Chronic Lymphocytic LeukemiaSmall Lymphocytic Lymphoma2 moreThe primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, toxicities, dosage and response rate for an investigational drug, motexafin gadolinium, administered to patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. The secondary purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical benefit rate, the time it takes for a patient's chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma to worsen, the duration of response and the time during which patients survive without chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma worsening. Additionally, the patient's response to motexafin gadolinium will be compared to the response of the patient's cells in a laboratory to motexafin gadolinium.
Study of Rituximab-HCVAD Alternating With Rituximab-Methotrexate-Cytarabine Versus Standard Rituximab-CHOP...
LymphomaThe overall goal of this clinical research study was to find out which of two different chemotherapy drug combinations, R-CHOP and R-HCVAD, is more effective in treating B-cell lymphoma. At this point, all participants will now be assigned to the R-HCVAD arm of the study. Researchers will study the safety and effectiveness of this drug combination.
Vorinostat With or Without Isotretinoin in Treating Young Patients With Recurrent or Refractory...
Childhood Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (M3)Childhood Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor18 moreThis phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of vorinostat when given together with isotretinoin in treating young patients with recurrent or refractory solid tumors, lymphoma, or leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vorinostat, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Vorinostat may also stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Isotretinoin may cause cancer cells to look more like normal cells, and to grow and spread more slowly. Giving vorinostat together with isotretinoin may be an effective treatment for cancer.
