Combination Chemotherapy Compared With Observation After Surgery in Treating Women With Relapsed...
Breast CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug, and giving them after surgery, may kill any remaining tumor cells following surgery. It is not yet known whether combination chemotherapy is more effective than observation in treating relapsed nonmetastatic breast cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy with that of observation in treating women who have undergone surgery for relapsed nonmetastatic breast cancer.

Study Evaluating CCI-779 and Letrozole in Post-menopausal Women With Breast Cancer
Breast NeoplasmsNeoplasm MetastasisIn this clinical research study, postmenopausal subjects with metastatic breast cancer will be given either the combination of temsirolimus (CCI-779) and letrozole or a placebo and letrozole in first-line hormonal treatment. The primary endpoint of this study is to determine overall progression free survival. Individual subjects will participate in the active treatment phase of the study until disease progression or withdrawal of consent, provided that test article is being tolerated. All subjects will be asked to participate in the long-term follow-up phase of the study, which includes follow-up every 3 months until disease progression (for subjects who withdraw for reasons other than documented progressive disease) or until any new cancer treatment is received, and for survival. The estimated duration of study participation is 34 months.

Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant After ATG, High-Dose Melphalan, and Fludarabine for Patients With...
Breast CancerRATIONALE: Giving chemotherapy, such as fludarabine and melphalan, before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of tumor cells. It also stops the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune system and help destroy any remaining tumor cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Giving an infusion of the donor's T cells (donor lymphocyte infusion) after the transplant may help increase this effect. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can also make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving antithymocyte globulin, cyclosporine, and methotrexate before or after the transplant may stop this from happening. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well antithymocyte globulin, high-dose melphalan, fludarabine, and allogeneic peripheral stem cell transplant work in treating patients with metastatic adenocarcinoma of the breast.

Neoadjuvant Docetaxel in Treating Women With Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer
Breast CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Giving a chemotherapy drug before surgery may shrink the tumor so that it can be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well neoadjuvant docetaxel works in treating women who are undergoing surgery for breast cancer.

Oblimersen Plus Doxorubicin and Docetaxel in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Locally Advanced...
Male Breast CancerStage IIIA Breast Cancer3 moreThis phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of oblimersen when given together with doxorubicin and docetaxel and to see how well they work in treating women with metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin and docetaxel, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Oblimersen may increase the effectiveness of doxorubicin and docetaxel by making the tumor cells more sensitive to the drugs.

Trastuzumab, Docetaxel, and Carboplatin in Treating Women With Stage II, Stage III, or Inflammatory...
Breast CancerRATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving trastuzumab together with docetaxel and carboplatin may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving trastuzumab together with docetaxel and carboplatin works in treating women with stage II, stage III, or inflammatory breast cancer.

A Study of the Effects of Inhibiting Platelet Function on Circulating Cancer Cells in Breast Cancer...
Breast NeoplasmsThe purpose of this study is to determine the effects of Plavix and aspirin in women with metastatic breast cancer.

A Trial of Panobinostat and Trastuzumab for Adult Female Patients With HER2 Positive Metastatic...
Breast CancerThe primary purpose of this study is to identify the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of both intravenous and oral panobinostat plus trastuzumab. The study will evaluate safety and efficacy of the combination in adult female patients with HER2+ metastatic breast cancer

Fulvestrant (Faslodex) + Anastrozole (Arimidex) vs Anastrozole
Breast CancerPostmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive and negative Her2 tumours. Before randomization, the patients will be stratified according to the center, positive nodes (0 vs. 1-3 vs. ≥4), previous chemotherapy (yes vs no) and hormonal receptors status.

A Clinical Trial Comparing Efficacy And Safety Of Sunitinib And Capecitabine
Breast NeoplasmsTo compare efficacy and safety of Sunitinib and Capecitabine in subjects with advanced breast cancer who failed both a taxane and an anthracycline chemotherapy regimen or failed with a taxane and for whom further anthracycline therapy is not indicated
